Billboards: The California Department
of Health Services has donated extra copies of its Secondhand Smoke and Kids
Love billboards to CDC for distribution through the Resource Center (see pages
11-367 through II-370 of your Resource Book to view them). We have available
approximately 20 copies of Kids Love Cartoon Characters,
150 of Kids Love
Cowboys, 150 of Kids Love Race Cars, 50 of Try Secondhand Smoke,
430 of Wake Up
and Smell the Secondhand Smoke, and 450 of You Think Smoke Knows How to Stay in
the Smoking Section?
These billboards are available on a first-come first-serve
basis. The only cost to you is that of shipping (adding your local tag) and
shipping.
Other Materials: The Resource Center also has a variety of related materials available for free:
- 600 Spanish ETS Folders, which are appropriate for holding factsheets,
brochures, and pamphlets for distribution to Spanish-speaking populations.
These can be used in conjunction with the ETS TV commercials described on
pages II-58 through U-67 and the ET'S print ads (codes RBP-014 through
RBP-028). These are also useful when working with Spanish-language media
outlets (e.g., when submitting the PSAs and soliciting space, making
presentations to pitch the spots, etc.).
- 2,400 English ET'S folders, which can be used for the same activities as
described for the Spanish EM folders.
- 1,500 Legends folders, which can be used to distribute information in conduction with the Legends TV and radio spots, which are described on pages II-83 and II-151 of the Resource Book, as well as with the Legends print ad (code RBP- 007).
