DEPTH OF FTELD SCALE (tN FEET)

The range of Depth of Field lies between the two identical lens opening
figures provided on both sides of the Distance Index Mark.
When the lens is focused sharply on a focus of attention, there is a finite
range on sharpness extending to the foreground as well as to the bact<ground
of this focused distance which is within the range of focus.
This range of sharpness is known as the Depth of Field of the lens and
depends on the relative lens opening and the distance to the subject focused
upon. The smaller the opening the greater rvill be the Depth of Field for
a given distance.
