The "ALPENFLEX, is a twin-lens mirror reflex camera made by our
factory located at the foot of the "JAPAN ALps", where the air is clear
and the scenery is beautiful. The factory,formerly operated by The Nippon
opitical co., Ltd., noted as ',NIKKOR LENS" maker throughout the world,
was succeeded to by our company in January, 1951, and ever since has been
producing splendid optical instruments.
This camera is one of our latest elaborations under modern equipments
and by our master craftsmen, with the motto of ,,the most familiar camera
for the public".

OPERATION
HOW TO LOAD AND TRANSPOR'T FILM
l. Pull out the knob for take up spool (,24), insert the take up spool into
the position and turn the winding knob until the winding key (30)
catches the slot in the spool. (fie. 1)
In this case, leave the long slit of the spool to the front. (fig' 2)
Z. Pull the film spool knob (25) and put the film into the chamber just
as above.

3. Pull out the leader paper of the film (fig. 3), and insert it into the
longer slit of the 1'ake up Spool and turn the winding Knob q4;
slow1y, ascertaining the leader paper is taken up tightly and straight.
Keep winding on, and you will find the triangular marks appearing
on the edge of the leader paper, then stop winding, putting the marks
on the same line of the red marks rfig. 4).
4. Now the loading of the film is over. Close the back cover and lock.

It is convenient for you to record the kind of film by turning the Film
Indicator (5) before starting exposures.
5. 'lurn the winding knob until the film number 1 appears on the Film
Number Window €G) . Now the film is ready] for the first exposure.
6. After picture is taken, repeat the same procedures by turning the
Winding knob (4) until twelve pictures are taken.
7. After all pictures are taken, wind the Film tfig.9) Winding Knob until the leader paper is off
the Film Spool, then open the Back Cover,

HOW TO USE FINDER HOOD.
1. Pull the Finder Hood Button (27) and the Focusing Hood will open
instantly. To close it, just press dourn lightly. (tig. Z)
"2. A large Magnifier (29) is attached to determine focus accurately, and it
will be easily raised by pressing the Magnifier Release Button (z) . l (fig.6)

the Raise the Magnifier, turn the Fccus Adjusting knob (8) looking at
glass screen, adjust the focus until the most clear image is visible.

composition in that condition if hurry, but you had
better study composition taking time after closing

HO\M TO ADJUST DIAPHRAGM
AND SHUTTER SPEED.
Adjusting lens opening and shutter speed are easily done by turning
Speed Regulator (11) the Diaphragm Lever (16) (fig. 9) and the .Shutter
(fig. 9) to the desired point. The figure on the Shutter Speed Dial showsf I
fracton of a second.
Attention should be paid not to stop the Dial between figures.
Push down the Shutter Set Lever (9), and the shutter will be set ready
for release (fig. 9).
Now everything is ready for taking picture. Press the Shutter Release
, Button (12) or Cable Release after screwing it into the Release Socket.
When longer exposure is repuired than one second, adjust the shutter
as theIi to the letter "8" on the Regulator, the shutter remains open as long
t Shutter Release Button is kept pressed.

SAFETY DEVICE FOR SHUTTER
RELEASE BUTTON

the case, the shutter does not work
even if you may press it.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION.
: 1. Always keep the camera in dry place.
2. Put the cover cap on the lens before putting the camera away.
' i Keep your lens clean.When the lens gathers dust, wipe it carefully with \
soft clean cotton cloth. Never leave it as it dusty. i
.l 3. Do not load or unload film under direct sunlight.
,4. Do not leav'e the camera unused with the shutter set on it. I
'f 5. Do not change the depth of focus once the shutter set lever has been
set on. Change it, if necessary, after pushing down the shutter release
lever, shading the taking lens perfectly.

6. As camera is a precise instrument, never take to pieces nor amend

How to transhort the film on Model "MS"_
