OPENING THE CAMERA
To open the comero' turn lock on bose from nC'
(closed) lo " On (open) using lhumb ond {oref inger
(see ill. A). Hold comerq with bolh honds, oncl remove
comero bock by pulling downwords with bolh lhumbs
(iil. B).
LOADING
Your cornero uses slondord 36 or 20 exposure
35 mm f ilm (colour or block ond while).

THE VIEWFINDER
Your cqmero is equipped wilh o super-size brighl-line viewfinder lhot lels you see the
piclure os your eyes normolly see il, i. e. in life-size 1 : l. When froming lhe picfure, fou
should, lherefore, keep both eyes open ond look lhrough lhe viewfinder eilher wilh your
righl or lefl eye whichever you ore occuslomed lo use.
Whst is Depth-of-Fieldt
The zone in which your piclure will be shorp is colled depfh-of-field. You con predetermine
lhis zone by selling lhe correcl I/slop ond dislonce. The lens operfure delermines in odvonce
which zone will be covered ond come oul shorply in your piclure, I u j 9oJKu6,
The relolionship belween f/stop ond depth-of-field is os lollows: ili
Lorge operlure: smoll f/stop (like I/1,9 or 2,8 or 4) smoll oreo will be shorp. -
smofl operlure: lorge f/stop (like i6 or 221 greol zone of shorpness. -
Exomple: On lhe lens 2,8/50 o dislonce ol 12rlz ff (4 m) is set. Wilh f /stop number 2,g yov
obloin o shorp piclure from opproximolely 11 ft (3,50 m) lo 13 ft (4,25 m). With lhe sorne
selling of dislonce but l/stop number 22, your piclure will be shorp from oboul 6t/z ft
(2 m) fo infinily.

Recommendotion for Beginners:
Sel shuller of I /30 sec. When using electronic lloshguns: synchro lever on X (red)
When using X-type bulbsr synchro lever on X (red)
When using M-lype bulbs: synchro lever on M (yellow)

Afler hoving foken 20 or 35 piclures (depending on lhe lenglh ol film), you will nolice
o slight leniion when winding lhe {ilm. Do nol force lhe lilm. Slop winding, os lhe film is
fully exposed qnd musl be pulled bock inlo lhe cosselle. Pleose observe the following poinls:
l. Pull oul rewind knob (knob on body cover plole neor occessory shoe).
2. Press down firmly {ilm rewind-clufch (smoll knob on body plole by which you hod olreody
set lhe lilm counler when looding lhe cqmero) ond keep it pressed down unlil you hove
finished rewinding lhe {ilm.
3. Al lhe some lime, lurn lhe rewind knob in the direclion of lhe orrow, unlil no lension is
lelt ond the film end slips oul of lhe slol of lhe foke-up spool or is lorn ofl the
hook inside lhis spool.
Releose lhe pressure on lhe clulch now ond press down lhe rewind knob. Wind ropid-winder
slightly lo see lhot the film does nol odvonce ond lhus is bock lo lhe film cosselle.
Everyfhing is quile in order if the rewind knob does nol turn. Open your comerq ond loke
oul lhe cosselle.
