 frrr yorr to take pictures ftom 5,f  feet to infinity. All
yorr have to do is pull out the front section of the
cantera  ( it's  techni<'ally called the lens extensioll
hox). Just grasp the plasti<.ssides of the front sec-
 tion u'ith one hand, hold on to the back of the cam-
era  \.\ith the other, and pull. You'll hear a click as
thr. front prrt  lrulls out into picture-taking position.
 {.  roox  rHRouGH THE vrEw FTNDER: put   the
('arnera ul) to y()ur eyc so you see the srrlrject you
are going to photograph throrrgh the optically ground
glass view finder. Be sure your subject is well-centered
 in the frame of the view finder.

$. CUCXT When you're set to take your picture, just
rlclrressthe plunger at the right (on top of camer.a).
Try to do  it slowly, not jerkily. And press the camera
against your face to avoid jiggling   it while you snap
the picture. BE SURE you wind the film  until the
next nrrmlrer appears in the red window, so you'll be
set for the next shot.

Just keep winding film rrntil it is no longer visible in
the  little red winrlow. Open camera. Take out  film
anrl seal. (Avoid bright light when removing film).

flash unit. Just slip  it on top of the camera (u'ith

For black and white  ilrtlrror photography, we rec-
ontmend you use GE # 11 and $22  flash bulb.* or
Sylvania ftO  or  S40. You can use midget bulbs
CE #5  or Sylvania S25  lrut not the "speed midgets".
(let a midget adapter from your  dealer.
   It  is inrportant that you take into account the dis-
tance l)etween tlre canrera and the subject when you
use flash lnrlbs. Ht re is a chart whir.h can guide yorr
in  the  proper  distances for  various types  of  film
and bulbs.

bulbs  listed  below.  Chrome  yellow    filter  and
sunshade will  improve  color  quality  without  ma-

may be secured  from  your  dealef.

      Simple Steps In Looding Your Comerq



            Your  Beacon "two-twenty-five" may be loaded        L
                in   daylight.   First  open
            canrera by sliding knob on
                 left side to "open" (down).

            Avoid  direct sunslrine.

          Now pull the canrera back towards  you  to oJ)en.          2.

    Wind  the  winding  knob8.
    a few turns to see that the
      film  is. engaged firmly and
     evenly. If   it  is  .  .  .

   Now  close the back  of  the camera. Continue9.
    winding  slowly.

    Wind   film,  watching,tQ,
     through  little red window
       in back  of camera, until
     you  see  an   indicating
     hand and a series of dots.
     Continue  to wind  slowly until figure "1'  ap-
     pears in window.
 NOW YOU ARE READY TO TAKE A PICTURE.
After each picture, be sure to wind film again until
the next consecutivenumber appears in window.
  IO REMOVEFILM. After  last picture is taken,
CONTINUE TO WIND until no film showsin red
window. Open back of camera. Remove film  roll.
Seal film with gummed sticker. AVOID STRONG
LIGHT WHILE UNLOADING AND DO NOT EX.
POSE ROLL OF EXPOSED FILM TO STRONG
LIGHT.
  TECHNICAL DATA. Focal length of lens 70 mnr.
Shutter Speed1/50 sec.Aperture (F12.5). Depth
of Field SL/z Lt. to infinity.  Depth of Field with
I  Diopter Portrait attachment 30 to 36 inches.
Flaslr -  Synchronized for 2O millisecond lag flash
