owners ond users of the "SUPER tr  F2.8" comero.
  Your "SUPER tr  F2.8" is o precision built comero designed to toke the
35 mm film {24 mm X 35 mm), either in the 36 or the 20 exposure mogozine
{cossette).
  The comero is fitted with o   f /2.8, 45 mm cooted lens which hos o remorkoble
resolving power.  lt tokes both block-ond-white os well os color film.
  The shutter is o newly designed "COPAL-SV" 5-blodes type with outomotic
cocking, built-in flosh synchronizer M.X. contocts wifh odiusting lever ond selftimer.
There ore I I speeds including B, from I second to l/500 second.
   Focusing is obtoined by helicoid motion using focusing lever. Combined view
ond coupled ronge-finder gives both conrposition ond focusing ot the some time
through o window.
  The view finder is of the trimming type ond the torget frome which is cleorly,outlined in white will enoble you to shoot fost moving subiects with eose ond

               TOADING THE "suPER tr F2.8"
To locd the Gomero
  l.  Pull oul the Bock Cover Positive Lock
       l21l , then gently open the bock
    cover to o fully open position.
 2. Rotote the fixed Winding Spool 126l
   by its knu rled   f longe unlil the  f ilm
     slot foces up.
 3. Pull the Film Rewinding knob (l 0) os
       fo r out o s it will go.
 4. lnsert the new film mogozine (cosse-
     tte) - preferobly in subdued light; even your own shodow will help.
 5. Hold the mogozine (cossette) in ploce with your thumb.
16. Push in the Film Rewinding Knob (.|0), rototing it slightly to moke sure thot
       it fits in slot of the film spool.

7. Pull out the end of the film ond push it in the slot of the Winding Spool
      126t.
 8.  Guiding the film with your thumb, wind the film on the Winding Spool (261
                                                                                                                                                                                             f ull width of the film   by turning it slowly by its milled flonge, until the
    covers the full length of the film guide roil.
 9.  Engoge the Perforotion of the cogs of the Sprocket 125l,.
r0.  Close the comero bock.
I l.  Finolly, lock the bock cover by pressing  it
    with both honds.

 Selting the Exposure Counier
   Before toking picture with o newly looded film, you will hove to wind the
 first port of the film by moking two preporotory shots os follows' Turn the Lever
                                                                                                           (6). Winder (l) os for os it goes ond press the Shutter Releose Button
   Repeot this operotion. Then, on moking the ihird full turn of the Lever
 Winder, the Exposure Counter 2) indicotes No.  I ond you ore reody to shoot
 the first picture.
   While moking these two preporotory shots,
 be sure thot the Rewinding Knob (10) rototes
 in the counter direction indicoted by the orrow
 on the Rewinding Knob. lf the Rewinding Knob
 (,|0) does not rotote, it meons thot the film
 wos nct looded correctly. So lood it ogoin.
 Before toking pictures, rotote the Rewinding
"Knob (.|0) slightly in the direction of the orrow
 so os to strech the film.

   Toke off the lens Cop.
 Sertlng the Aperture or Lens Openlng
  By turning the Diophrogm Regulotor 6l',
 choose proper lens opening. This is done
 by oligning the red mork on the Diophrogm
 Regulotor to the Aperture Scole (12l'.
   Aperture Scole is indicoted ot 2.8, 4, 5.6,
 8, ll,   16.
  A smoll lens opening requires longe r exposu re unde r some light condition.
rWhen the opening is reduced one scole smoller, the exposure time will hove to

 your decision.
  When focusing ond  composition ore completed,  gently press the Shutter
 Releose Button 17l with      f o refinge r. Do not ie rk while  moking ori exposure. After
 one exposure hos been mode, turn the Lever Winder   (l ) os                                                                                                                                                                                                                   f or os it goes, ond
 it will return to originol  position when you releose  it.  lf the lever does not return,
 it meons thot your film tronsport is imperfect.
 Focusing
   Focusing is obtoined by use of Focusing Leve r  Qll. Combined View ond
'Coupled Ronge-finder (9) gives both composition ond focusing ot the some time
.'th rough o window.
   Correct focus is seiured when the double imoges in the center circle of the
   view finder coincide exoctly. (See illustrotion on next poge.)
  Onie the imoge is correctly centered, the distonce between comero ond the
 subiect moy be found out by reoding the figure on the Distonce Scole (l I  )

    zone become progressively blurred. This zone of occeptoble shorp focus is colled
    the "depth-of-field" ond is porticulorly importont to beginners when focusing ot
    very close distonce.
    Relotion between Aperture or Lens Opening ond "Depth-of-Feild"
      Broodly speoking, the "depth-of-field" is influenced by (l ) the cjistonce of the
     picture-subiect from the lenses ond l2l the operture or lens opening. For foirly
    distont subiect the "depth-of-field" is generolly odequote but when focusing ot
    very clcse distonce, there is surprisingly little "depfh-of-field", ond the photogropher
    must be very corefull obout focusing his moin subiect correctly
     The operture or lens opening is onother foctor which determines the omount of
     "depth-of-field" ovoiloble. Smoll operture (high number) gives greoter "depht-of-
     field" whereos o lorger operture (low number) will result in decreosing this zone
    of shorpness.

   The following is the procedure for reoding the "Depth-of-Field" Scole. On the
 "Depth-of-Field" Scole there ore two sets of equol numbers to the left ond right of the
                               (See illustrotion) distonce indicoting triongle (V).
  l.  Reod the operture or lens opening number. (for instonce l6)
                                                                           feet) 2. Reod the distonce number.   (ln the illustrotion, this is 8
                                                                         figures opposite the 3. Now reod on the Distonce Scole (l l) the two sets of the
     figures 16. (ln the illustrotion they ore obout "4.7" ond "30")

UNTOADING THE FILfrl
                     When you r Exposure Counte r (21 indicoles thot
                         you hove mode 36 exposures (or 20 os the cose moy
                                be), it is time to unlood the film.
                             Since the exposed fitm hos been wound on the
                                                                                                    f ixed spool in the comero, it will be necesso ry to
                              rewind it bock to the spool of the filrn mogozine or
                                      cossette.
                                   This is done os follor,s,
                                             l.  Pull up the border of Cronk Hondle (10) on the
                                  rewinding knob ond the Cronk Hondle (l 0) will be
                                  releosed to winding position.
                           2. Turn the Cronk Hondle (10) clockwise ofter
                                  pressing the Film Rewinding Button 120) on the
                                bottom side of the comero.
                           3. When the exposed film hos beerr completely

    rewound on the mogozine or cossette spool, open the bock cover ond remove
    the film mogozine.
   The Film Rewinding Button (.|8) on the bottom side of the comero will return to
  its originol position by winding the Lever Winder (l) ofter looding new film.

              FLASH SYNCHRONIi|ATION
                                                           ''SUPER    tr   F2.9"   It  is  The Copol-SV Shutter is incorporoted on the
  possible to use M closs bulbs including on electronic
  flosh ot ony shutter speed.
   Chonge of synchronizotion con be done by Adiusting
     Lever (l 9) os follows'
  l. When the Adlusting Lever (19) is set ot X, the syn-
     chronizotion is such thot the shutter is fully open ot
     the time of flosh. ln this cose it is fully synchro-
n    nized wiih on electronic flosh ot oll shutter speeds.

Note:  Since the Exposure Counte r Ql hos odvonced one index in spite of the
        foct thot there hos been no, octuol movement of the film, it lvill be
        necessory to remember thot you hove one more exposure thon thot
         indicoted by the exposure counter.

            GENERAT INFORMATION
 A modern comero is o precision instrument monufoctured to exoct dimensions.
It should the refo re be hondled with greot core.
l.  Don't touch the lens with fingers. Keep the lens olwoys cleon. When is gothers
    dust, wipe ond cleon it corefully with soft brush or cotton cloth.
2. Do nol forget to reploce the cop when the comero is not in use.
3. When odvoncing the film, lever winder should be turned os for os it goes.

   or stops in obout holfwoy, push the film rewinding button ond let the lever
