With this comero, you con determine the proper operture ond shutter speed outo-

the ir,rdgementof operture ond speed is not necessory like usuol comerqs.
Whot is Light Volue.
. The light Volue is the number which depends on fhe light intensity of lthe
, subiect ond the sensibility of the film, ond it qlso determines the combinotion
of operture ond shutter speed to give enough omount of light to produce the

,,DEPTH.OF-FIELD,, "0 HOW TO READTHE SCALE
Whot is "Depth-of-Field"
When you focus your comerq toword o picture-subiect, you will find o zone
both in front ond bock of the picture-subiectwithin which evervthing is still in
occeptoble foucus. On the other hond imoges of obiect outside of this zone
become progressively blurred. This zone of occeptoble shorp focus is colled the
"depth-of-field" ond is porticulorly importont to beginners when focusing ot very
close distonces.
Relotion between Aperture or LensOpening ond "Deplh-of-Field"
Broodly speoking, the "depth-of-field" is influenced by (l)the distqnce of the # picture-subiect from the lenses ond (2) the operture or lens opening. For foirly
disfont obiect, the "depth-of-field" is generolly odequote but when focusing ot very
close distonce, there is surprisingly little "depth-of-field" ond fhe photogropher
