Deor "beirette" Fon,
We felicitote you on buying this remorkoble smoll
comero ond wish you oll the pleosure in the world
ond much success.
The following illustrotions will convince you of our
promise "finest pictures wih o minmum of efforts"'
It will be wise to first run the comero through its
poces without o film ond to get fomilior with the
instructions. Of course you know you ore hondling
o precision instrument ond so you will not use ony
force; the comero would not toke is kindly ond we
should be ever so sorry not to be in o position to
honour your cloims.
To open the comero, toke it into your left hond'
press the smoll lock with your forefinger in the direc-
tion of the orrow ond use the thumb to swivel the
comero bock oround its hinges.
Vour "beirette" will toke ony commerciol doylight-
looding b/w or colour cossette for 20 or 36 pictures.
To lood the comero, pull the rewind oxle from thecomero body, insert the cossette into the left-hond ffispoce ond push the oxle bock, rototing it slightly
 during the process.

Your "beirette" is fully protected by on ingenious www.butkus.us"little device ogoinst double or blonk exposures (o
feoture the some os in o top closs professionol co-
mero), Thot meons you con press the releose buttorr
only ofter you hove cocked the winding lever.
Any object you wont to photogroph the "beirette"
woy ond with "beirette" quolity is o certoin distonce
owoy from you, requires o certoin shutter speed orrd
diophrogm opening. So before lifting the comero to
your eye estimote or meosure the distonce, turn the
front lens ond motch the distonce with the red mork
 on the shutter foce.
Determine the required exposure time ond set it witlr
the block shutter front ring locking to 1/oo or 'ln, the shutter 1/125 sec or to "B". With the lotter setting
stoys open os long os you press the releose button
ond you ore well odvised to put the comero on o
tripod ond use o coble releose.
The lorger diometer reor ring sets the diophrogm
ond locks on the stondordized openings from 2..8
through 22 which cover oll your requirements.
There is o rule which moy come in hondy sometimes:
the lorger the diophrogm number, the smoller the
diophrogm opening; the lorger the depth of field
ond the longer the exposure time.

Didn't we promise eose of hondling? Here it is
ogoin! There ore the eosy-to-use weother symbois
on top of the shutter which outomoticolly combine
shutter ond dioprogm. They will reduce the time
for preporotion considerobly ond ore o greot help
for those who ore no hoppy possessors of on ex-
posure meter or those who left it behind. Of -course, on exposure meter is the best solution, es-
peciolly with colour, but you con trust the symbols,
too,

The lost of these few monipulotions is to set the DINor ASA number indicoted on the film box by turning ,l
the ring on the right-hond side of shutter (combined
DIN ond ASA scole). This setting is not chonged for
the entire film, ond you need only select the proper
weother symbol. ,lia

Our picture shows the typicol holding of the comero.
There ore, of course, no steei-clod ruies, ond the
best woy to hold it is to grip it wrth both honds
securely so thot the forefinger rests on the releose
button ond is free to press it down firmly. Pleose
remem ber, o picture of "beirette" shorpness does
not only depend on shutter speed ond correct
distonce setting (items which go without soying) but
on o rock steody comero when the shutter is tripped'

cronk out of the button, press the rewind releose
button on the comero bottom ond turn the cronk in
clockwise direction. Do it o bit slower when you
think you opprooch the end ond observe the point
where the film tongue slips from the toke-up spool.

-Thot's when the cronk suddenly turns much more
 eosily.

Let's conclude with some detoils on the depth of
field scole provided on the shutter foce. lt indicotes
the depth of field for o certoin distonce ond dio-
phrogm setting combinotion. In o flosh, it meons:
set the distonce os meosured or estimoted, look ot
the meter scole ond reod the depth of field between
the two vqlues corresponding to your diophrogm
setting. Thot's oll. But on exomple is never lost:
             Distonce setting : 1.5 metres
           Diophrogm setting: 8
Depth of field: 1.2 to 2 metres
Should you wont to check the function of your co-
mero with open bock ond no film in it, turn the
sprocket wheel clockwise to the stop ond press tl-re
       releose button.
Sprocket wheel ond releose button sholl be lockingI o lternotingly.
Check thot the shutter opens ond closes properly.
We ore quite sure we did not forget onything you
should know obout the operotion of your comero,
ond we wish you oll sotisfoction ond success with
       your "beirette".
