With the BEWI QUICK the reflected light is meosui'ed
when the meter is pointed in the direction of the
subiect. Out of doors toke reodings of the foreground

When toking figures in front of light or dorker bock-
ground, it is odvisoble to toke o close-up reoding ol
opproximotely 1-'11/z ft. This eliminotes the donger of
folse reodings due to environmetol conditions of les-
ser importonce. This close-up method con olwoys be
employed when certoin portions of the subiect ore
to be given speciol emphosis.

Colour Shots
colour shots require o very exoct co-ordinotion of
shutter speed ond exposure meter ond olso very core-
ful development. As there is no speciol speed roting
for colour films, the speeds shown on the film corton
                                                                                    isore only comporotive, i. e. "expose os for ' ' 'o ' lt
odvisoble therefore to obtoin on exoct correlotion
between exposure meter, comero ond film bv moking
test pictures. The best www.butkus.usprocedure would be os follows:

Exposure 1 : using the operture os indicoted by the
             exposure meter.
Exposure 2: with the next smoller operture
Exposure 3: with the next lorger operture
The method which then shows the best results with
projection should be odhered to. lt is quite likely thot,
os o result of such test shots the film speed set on
the exposure meter will differ from thot slrown on the
f ilm corton.
And now good luck ond good light.
