'fhe Prontor-Lux shutter is set to the different shutter speeds on adjustment of the film speed setting.
This works as follows: Film speed in ASA 200 100 E0 25 L2
FiIm speed in DIN 24 2t tB 15 t2 Shutter speed rlsoo llzso rlps llao 1/go second
fntermediate valueis are similarly linked up. For example when set to 32 or 40 ASA (16 or 1? DIN)the effective srtrutter speed is between 1/oo arrrd. l/res Second.
Using the Shutter: Set the aperture ring (49) to bring the black arrow head below ,,Auto,, oppositethe red dot on the camera.
Depress the coupling lever (50a) and turn the film speed setting ring (bOb) with the other hand to
bring the red dot at the rear of the ring opposite the film speed iating of the film.in use, for
example 50 ASA (18 DIN). That at the same time sets shutter to llcs second.
Sight the subject to be taken in the finder. Near the upper edge of the finder a small blacksemicircle shows a red or green optical signal.
rf the green dot is visible, the meter has automatieally selected the required correct aperture, andyou can take the picture by pressing the release lever (B).
If a red dot is visible, this indicates that the light is insufficient for an exposure. So either refrainfrom shooting or use flash.
When you measure the exposure the signal in the finder should always show its colour fully:
completely red or completely green. If both are visible, for example half red and half green orquarter and three-quarters, take the picture only with flash.

   Luminous Frome finder
The large luminous frame finder with brlght reflection of photographic scope offers eonsiderable advantages compared with a normal finder.
There had been always certain difficultie"s in taking up the entire picture at one glance. The Iuminous frame limits easily recognisable the actual photographic scope. - - If the camera is tilted upwards or downwards or to the side, the luminous frame will disappear, thus guaranteening the correct position of the camera by means of the finder.

                                                                                                                        27
