Finding the Correct Exposure Setting
The exposure measuring and setting system incorporated in the
camera utilizes three light emitting diodes(LED) for giving positive
and highly visible indications and thus speeding up operations.
1 . The power f or the exposure measuringsystem is switchedON
w he n t h e sh u t t e r re l ease button is lightly depres s e d ,w h i c h ,
a t t he sa me t ime , lights up an LED along the right b o r d e r o f
t he f i nd e r's scre e n a rea (showing that power is bein g s u p p l i e d
a n d t ha t t h e syst e m is ready to work).
2. ThreeLED's are lined up verticallyalong the right border, with illu-
mination of the central green LED indicating a correct exposure
setting. On the other hand, illuminataonof either red LED's, at the
top or bottom, will indicateover-and under-exposureadjustment
and that the exposuresetting is not correct.
3. Exposure setting will be greatly speeded up if a suitable shutter
speed is, first, chosen f or the sublect and then set to the camera.
It will then be possibleto adjust the aperturesetting for the shutter
speed by lightly depressingthe shutter releasebutton and, at the
same time, rotatingthe aperturering until the green LED lights up.
NOTE
Use the following table as a general guide for shutter speeds to be used, although it must b e r e -
membered that the choice of shutter speed is not only dependent on lighting conditions b u t a l s o
on the need for stopping the action of the subject, when there is any movement.
