   STEREOSCOPIC PROJECTION
GENERAT INFORMATION
Stereoscopic projection is accomplished wilh the aid of an ordinary l6mm pro-
jector. According to the model, it must be equipped with either of two Kern-
Paillard /enses.
These lenses consisl ol a double
sel ol lenses with polarized
 Iilters.

ATTACHMENT OF THE
STEREO IENS
Type G. This is used Ior the
type G Paillard-Bolex projector.
It has a pin Ior guiding it into
the lens panel.
Type S. This lens is suitable
Ior most recent American high
Iuminosity pro jectors. When
attaching the lens, take care
that the adjustment knobs oc-
cupy the positions indicated on
the diagram: knob circled in
red on the upper part.
The two milled heads ossure
focusing and horizontal align-
ment ol the images.
Adapter Ring: The type S lens
is delivered with an adapter
ring. Indicate the brand and
model ol your projector in order
to get a ring of the appropriate
dimensions.

PRO'ECTION QUATITY
The Kern-Paillard stereo screen
is especially adapted to the
particular conditions prevailing
in stereo pro jection. DuIl, or
pearly screens cannot be used,
Ior they depolarize the light.
Rear pro jection ctn o/so be
obtained with some slightly
ground gloss or plastic screens.
ln tftis case, do not Iorget to
reverse the tilm on the reel

avoid having the lilles shown
in teverse.

 POTARIZED GTASSES

In order to get the physiological synlhesis of the
lwo images projected and, hence, a relief impres-
sion, it is essenliol to wear polarized glosses.
Do not bend your head, because you will neutralize
the polarizotion effect, and see both images with
 eoch eye.

ARRANGEMENT OF SEATS

The l:est locations are those which ore tu,o-thirds \l-of the distance Irom the screen between the screen
and the projector. However, you moy sit l:ehind ooor on either side ol the projector, taking care not 1""
to look at the stereogram ot too oblique an angle.The angle of vision shoukl not exceed 25 degrees    J;6;;
(see diogrom).

IN ORDER TO GET GOOD PRO'ECTION

Use the special Paillard Stereo screen (dull or lf not... No stereo eflect on the
pearly screens are not suitable). screen.
