        F0r beste Ergebnisse, vor allem bei Blitzautnahmen empfehlen wir die Venrendung von ISO ZOO t 24'
       oder 400 127' Filmen
        Die DX-Kontahe (16) erfassen automatisctr  die Filmempfindlichkeit von der Filmkassette und stellen die
      Camera automatisch darauf ein.
      1. Schalten Sle dle Camera eln indem Sie den Hauptschalter (3) auldie position "ON" stellen. Warten
            Sie bis die LED (14) GRUN buchrer.
      2. Otfnen Sle dle Camerartickwand (13) indem Sie.die Rrickwandverriegelung (17) nach oben
           schieben.
      3. Stecken Sie zuersl die flac*re Seite der Filmpatrone unten aul den R0ckspulmitnehmer (19) und
           drucken Sie dann die andere Seile der Patrone ganz in die Filmkammer der Camera  bis sie einrastet.
          Ziehen Sie den Filmanlang bis zur Markierung (23) und legen Sie ihn auf die Filmspule (24).
     4. Schlieflen Sle die Carnerariickwand (13) bis sie einrastet un achten Sie darauf, daB der Film flach
          zwischen den F0hrungsstiften (20) auf der Filmf0hrung aufliegt.
     5. Dr0cken Sie den Ausl6ser (1) , um den Film um eine Aufnahme weiter zu transportieren.
          Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang bis die Zahl"1" im Filmzdhlwerk (4) erscheint
        HINWEIS: Das Fllmzihlwerkarbeltet nurwenn der Fllm richtig elngelegilwurde. Legen Sle
                   den Fllm noch elntnal eln, wenn dle Zahl "1" nlcht im Zdhlwerk erschelnt. lm

1.  Schalten Sle dle Canrre eln indem Sie den Hauptscialter (3) in die mittlere Position O' brlngen.
   Warten Sie bis die LED fOr die Aulnahmebereitschaft (14) GRON buchtet (sie btinkt ROT bisder
    Elektronenblitz voll geladen ist.) Um unndtigen Stromverbrauch zu vermeiden sollten Sie die
   Camera nach Beendigung der Aufnahmen immer ausschalten indem Sie den Hauptschalter (3) auf
    die linke Position "O" stellen.
   HINWEIS :  Sie kOnnen keine Aufnahme machen solange dle LED (14) Rot lst  . Sollten Sle dle
               eingeschaltete Camera linger als ca. I lllnute nlcht benutzen, schaltet sle slch
                autornatisch ab. Durch elnen lelchten Druck auf den Ausl6ser (1) k6nnen Sle dle
             Camera wleder elnschalten.

    Schauen Sie durch den Sucher (7) und legen Sie den Bilausschnitt lest indem Sie die ZOOM-Taste
     (2) bei"T "oder "W' dr0cken. Sie sehen im Sucher wie sich der Bildwinkelvon 'TELE'bis
   "WEITWINKEL"  verindert. Sie k6nnen korizontale und vertikale Aufnahmen machen. Beivertikalen
   Aufnahmen halten Sie die Camera so daB sich der Blitz oben befindet.

    Aciten Sie auf den Mindestabstand.

3. Halten Sle dle Genrn rlhnnd der Aufnahnr ruhlg um Verwacklungen zu raermeiden. Actrten
           Sie auch darauf, daB nicht versehentlich das Objektiv (12), der Belichtungssensor (6) oder der Blitz
               (8) durcfi einen Finger oder Haar verdec*t wird.
     1. Durch leiciten Druck auf den Ausl6ser wird das MeBsystem der Camera eingesc*raltet. Dr0c*en Sie
          dann den Ausl6ser (1) sanft und z0gig ganz durch, um die Aufnahme zu rirachen. Bei nicht
           ausreichenden LichtvefiAltnissen  schaltet sich der Blitz automatiscfr ein.

            Nacfi der Aufnahme wird der Film automatisdr zum nlctrsten Bild transportiert.

         HINWEIS:  Falls d€r Elltz zur kornrkten Bellchtung bendtlgt wlrd, l6Bt slch dle Carnera erst
                      ausl6sen, wenn der Blltz voll geladen lst und dle LED (14) von ROT nach GRIN

Bei ungonOgenden Lblrnstrlttnissen k6nnen Sie auctt die Veminderung des Rot-Augen-Etfektes
einsetzen. Dr0cken Sie hierzu die Taste (1 1). Jetzt leuchtet eine helle LED (5) f0r ca. 1 sec arl, wodurch
sich die Pupillen der Augen etwas schlieBen.

HINWEIS:  Iler Rot-Augon-Effekt arbeltet nur bol ungon0genden Llchtverhlltnlssen. Bel heller,
           ausrelchender Beleuchtung wlrd dleser Effekt nlcht ben6tlgtt. Jetzt bewlrkt der
           Druck auf dle Taste (11), deB der Blltz zur Aufhellung bel normalen
            Tagesllchtauf nahmen zugoschaltet wlrd
2. Um einwandfrei belichtet Blitzaufnahmen zu erhalten,  sollten Sie sich an folgende Blitzentfernungen
     halten:

    lso400127'   1,8m#r5m
    HINWEIS:   Dle Bellchtung bel Blltzaulnahmen  hingrt auch von der gewlhlten ZOOM
                 Elnstellung ab. Es empflehlt slch, mlt Weltwlnkelenlnstellung  niher an das
                   llotlv heranzugehen als slch In TELE ltellung welter zu entfernen. FUr beste
                Ergebnlsse, vor allem bol Btltzaulnahnrn emplehlen wlr dle Verwendung von
              fSO 200/24' oder ISO 4@127' Fllmen.

Bei Eneft*ten des FilmendEs scfraltet sich der Transportrnotor automatisch ab. Bevor Sle den Fllm aur
       der Camera nehrnen, m0ssen Sle lhn zur0ckspulen.
         l.  Dr0cken Sie die R0ckspuhaste (21) in Pfeilrichtung, der Film wird jetzt zur0ckgespult.
     2. Sobald der Film ganz zur0ckgespult  ist, schaltet sich der Transportmotor automatisch ab. Das
           R0ckspulen eines Films mit 36 Aufnahmen ben6tigt beifrischen Batterien ca. 30 sec.
     3. Offnen Sie jetzt die Camerar0c*wand und nehmen Sie den belicfrteten Film aus der Camera.

SELBSTAUSLoSER              ABB. 13 - 14

Durch den Selbstausldser wird die Aufnahme ersl ca. 10 sec. nach Betdtigen des Ausl6ser (1) gemacht,
genug Zeit, um selbst mit auf das Bild zu kommen.
1. Befestigen Sie beiAufnahmen mit dem Selbstausl6ser die Camera an einem Stativ (27) oder stellen
    Sie sie auf eine feste Unterlage. Legen Sie das Motiv durch den Sucher fest.
2. Schieben Sie den Hauptschalter (3) in seine rechte Position. @'
3.  Drricken Sie den Ausloser (1) nachdem die LED (14) GRUN leuchtet. Die LED des Selbstausldsers
     (9) blinkt ca. 10 sec. lang, dann erfolgl die Aufnahme.


   AUFHELLBLITZ

   Wenn sich lhr Motiv bei hellem Licht im Schatten befindet, sollten Sie den Aufhellblitz venrenden.
   Wenn Sie die Taste (1 1) wiihrend der Aufnahme gedr0ckt halten, wird das Blitzgerdt, unabhdngig
.   von den Lichtverhiltnissen,  immer eingeschaltet.

VERMINDERUNG DES ROT.AUGEN-EFFEKTES

         Bei Blitzaufnahmen von Menschen und Tieren kdnnen auf den Aufnahmen in den Pupillen der Augen
           rot Punkte erscheinen. Diesen Eflekt kann man dadurch vermeiden. daB man nicht direkt ins Objektiv
          siehl oder man den Raum durch zusdtzliche Lichtquellen beleuchtet.

       Zur Verminderung dieses Effektes bei ungin0genden Lichterhdttnissen halten Sie die Taste (11)
        gedr0ckt wihrend Sie den Ausl6ser (1) betAtigen. Jetzt leuchtet vor der Blitzaufnahme  ftjr ca. 1 sec.
        eine helle LED die bewirkt. daB sich die Pupillen des Aufzunehmenden teilweise schlieBen.
      HINWEIS: Dlese Funktlon arbeltet nur untel unzurelchenden Llchtverhlltnlssen, w€nn der
                     Elektronenblitz automatisch elngeschaltet wird. Unter normalen
                   Belichtungsverhiltnissen wird dieser Eflekt nicht ben6tigt, durch Driicken der
                  Taste (1) wird dann der Aufhettbtitz betitlgt.


      VORZEITIGES ROCKSPULEN OES FILMS
        Sie k6nnen den Film jederzeit zur0ckspulen, indem Sie die R0ckspultaste  (21) in Pfeilricfrtung
        schieben. Offnen Sie die Camerartickwand  erst wenn der Film ganz zurOckgespult ist und der Film
        tranportmotor sich abgeschaltet hat.

Sch0tzen Sie die Camera vor Scfimutz, Regen, Feuchtigkeit und extremer Hiltze.

BATTERY WPE: I pleco CR123A (DL123A) 3V Lhhlum Battery ls requlrcd.
1. Open the Battery Cover - Use your fingemail, finger tip, or the edge of a coin to snap open the
    Battery Covar.
2. lnrert ncw batterv - Follow the orientation shown inside the battery cfiamber.
3. Check the Battery - Slide the Main Control Switch to the ON (middle) position, cover the Low Light
    Sensor (next to the front of the viewfinder) with your hand, and watch lhe Camera "Readf LED. ll
      will be RED initially as the flash charges and then change to GREEN when the flash is fully charged.
        lf this takes excessively long (2G30 seconds) or the LED ahrays stays RED, a new battery is
     required.

            The DX Conlacts in the tilm ciamber can sense film speed coding on DX film cassettes and will adjust
              the camera accordingly.
        -  1. Tum the Carnera ON - Slide the Main Controt Switchto the ON (middle) position and wait for the
              Camera'Readf LED to tum GREEN.  lt willbe RED as the flash charges and then change to
            GREEN wtren the flash is fully ctrarged (or wtren flash is not required) lnd the camera is ieady
                     for a pic{ure.
         2. Open the Fllm Door - Slide the Film Door Latch upwards to open the Film Door.
         3. Load the Fllm - Insert the film cartridge into the Fitm Chamberby guiding the flat end of the
                   cartridge over the Rewind Fork and then snapping the top end of the cartridge into place. push
                                      if down until  it "clicks". Pull out the end of the film just as far as the Fitm Loiding fiiark and lay  tt
                on the Film Drum.
         4. Close the Fllm Door - Make sure that the tilm and film cartridge lie flat and then close the Film
                  Door.
         5. Advancs to the Flrst Frame - Press down and then release the Shutter Release Button lo
               advance the film one frame. Continue doing this untilthe number "1n appears inlhe Frame Counter
                                                                  Open the Fltm Doorand      -   NOTE:  lf the lllm ls loaded Incorectly the lrame counter wlll not move.

        2. Composltlon  / Zoomlng the Lens - Compose your pic,ture by looking through the viewfinder and
                pressing one of lhe Zoom Switches (T or lU) to obtain the desired magnification. As you do, the
               scene viewed through the viewfinder will change lo correspond to approximately the actual picture
               image thal you willobtain. For vertical subjects you can orient the camera vertically, but hold  it so
                  that the flash is positioned at the top and the shutter release is at the bottom.
            Make sure your subject is far enough away.

3. Hold the Catmra Steady  - Hold the camera lirmly with both hands to prevent camera shake, wtrich
    can cause blurry pictures. Be especially carefulthat your fingers or hair do not block the Lens, Low
     Light Sensor or Flash  .
4. Take the Picture - Gently press the Shuffer Release Buttonhattwayto tum on the camera circuits.
    Then continue to press lhe Shuttet Release Button gently  all the way down to take the picture. The
     flash will fire automatically  if required for correct exposure.
    lmmediately after the picture is taken the film will wind to the next frame.

FLASH PICTURES       FrG. 11

This camera has an automatic sensor flash so that a conventional flash ON/OFF switch  is unnecessary.
The flash will fire whenever  it is necessary for correct exposure. Also a special high intensity LED will
illuminate  for aboul 1 second before each flash picture for "Red-Eye" reduction.
1. Flash Charglng - Each time you take a flash picture the flash must recharge  to be readyforthe next
    picture. The Camera'Readf LED will be RED as the flash charges and then change to GREEN
   when theflash isfullychargedand  readyforapicture. The shutterwillbe loc*ed and a picture cannot
    be taken unlilthe LED turns GREEN.

When you take a picture, there will be a 1 second delay before the llash fires to allow the Red-eye
Reduction Featurelo take etfect.  lf you are confident that there willbe no Red-eye effect and you want
to elim inate the 1 second delay, you may press and hold the Fill Flash Switchwhile  taking the  f lash picture.
This willcancel lhe Red-eye Redudion feature.
NOTE: After about I mlnute the camera wlll shut ltself off to conselve the batterles and the
      @men'Ready" LEDwlll turn OFF. Pressing the Shutter Release Button hallway brlefly
       wllltum the camera ON again.
2. Flash Dlstance - For best results stay within the correct flash distance range according to the film
    speed you are using  :
   FLASH RANGE
    ISO 100/21' 1.8m (6')-2.8m      (9')
    ISO 200/24' 1.8m (6')-3.7m           (12')
   lSO400/27' 1.8m(6'5.5m(15')
NOTE: llarimum flash dlstance wlll vary wlth dlfferent settlngs ol the zoom lens. For plctutos
          of large groups, better llash plctur€s rnay result  if you use the wldest settlng of the zoom
        lens and move closer, rathel than uslng 'TELE' and moving larther away lrom your
         sublect.
3. Addftlonal Flash Modes - Two specialflash modes, FILL FIASH and RED-EYE REDUCTION
    CANCEL mode are also provided for special lighting conditions. Read the'SPECIAL FEATURES"
     instructions to learn how these useful flash modes are used.          @

FILM BEFORE REMOVING IT FROM THE CAMERA OR YOUR PICTURES WILL BE EXPOSED AND

1. RewlndfngFllm-Slidethe  RewindSwitch onthebottomof thecamerainthedirectionof thearrow.
2. When the film is fully rewound, the motor willtum off automatically. This will usually take about 30
    seconds for fresh batteries and 36 el@sure  film.
3. Open the Film Dur and remove the film cartridge.

          The self timer delays shutter release for about 10 seconds.
         1. Use a Trlpod - Place the camera on a tripod or sturdy support and use the viewfinder to aim  it at your
                   subject.
         2. SetSeff-timerMode-Slidethe  MainControlswifcfitotheself-timersetting(extremerightposition).$
                                                                                           - Make sure the Camera'Ready'' LED is GREEN and then press         3.  Press the Shutter Retease Button
                 the Shutter Release Button. The Self Timer LED will blink slowly for 10 seconds and then the picture
                      will be taken.


         FILL FLASH

             press the FillFlash Swdch and hold  il in wtrile you take the picture. The flash willahrays  fire in this mode.

         HINT: Thls mode ls useful  lf you arc outslde In brlght sunllght but your subfect ls partlally In
                   the shade.

RED.EYE REDUCTION

 Pictures of people or pets taken at low fight levels may exhibit "Red-eye" effect. The eye pupils appear as
 red circles in the pictures.
This can be reduced by having your subject look away from the camera or by tuming on bright room lights.
Additionally  this camera has a specialfeature  that wilireduce "Recl-eye" etfelt. Eac[ time a flash picture is
taken, a bright LED will illuminate lor about 1 second to cause the subject's eye pupilto close partialy.
By defauft the flash is always in Red'eye Reduction Mode and there will be a delay before a flash picture is
taken.  fl you want to take a picture without the delay, depress the Fiil Hasn / Red-"yi aiaraio, Cancet
Switch while taking the picture.

MID.ROLL REWIND

You may rewind your film at any time by using lhe Rewind switchlocatedon the bottom of the camera. wait
for the motor to stop before opening lhe Fitm Door.
