'FILMINDER'REMOVINGTHE BACK
Hold the comero body in the left hond, with filminder bock in right, so thot the thumb rests on protruding
edge of dork slide.
Note: The Film Bock connot be removed from the Bronico unless lhe metol slide is inserfed.
Press dork slide inword with thumb. This releoses the filminder bock from the c o m e r o . R e m o v e b y l i l t i n g
the filminder bock os illustroied ond lift from open hinge ot bottom.
Note ' The dork slide is only necessory f or removing the film bock from t h e c o m e r o . T h e d o r k s l i d e

The BRONICA S uses 120 roll film ond moy be looded either with the filminder bock on or off the comero. lf you prefer to lood with
the bock ottoched, follow these instructions.
o. Open the frome-shoped mosk of'the film type indicotor ond slide ihe lock in the direction of the '0'; fhe bock cover will
then pop open.
b. Remove the film holder from the filminder bock.
c. The fllm holder consists of two spindle ossemblies:
The lower spindle ossembly which is morked with o red orrow, holds the roll of unexposed film ond other holds the toke-up
spool.
Note ihoi one end of the spindle in the bock is spring-looded ond con be moved out of position.
d. The unexposed roll of fllm must be looded into the spindle which is morked with the red onow. Push one end of the film
roll into the spring-looded side of the spindle.
The film roll then slips into ploce. Moke sure fhot the inside of the lioder poper foces outwords.
e . Drow the leoder poper ocross lhe film pressure plote over the roller. lnsert ihe end of the leoder poper into the wide slot
of the toke-up spool ond secure it by monuolly rototing the toke-up spool until the film slort mork.
f. Ploce the film holder into the open film bock, so ihot the geor wheels on the holder onci in the bock fit together.
g . To hove the two geors fit correctly, it moy be necessory to rolote the monuol film winder ; then push down the film holder,
wind the leoder poper until the red orrow mork on the film motches the stort mork.

9. To remove lhe focusing hood - either for cleoning the screen or interchonging with sports or other finders - lift the hood
retoining lock obove comero nome plofe. Hood will spring free.
h . To reploce hood, slide it gn, so thot the fwo melol tobs on the comero Iit into the slots on the reor of the hood frome.
Snop hood closed.

o. After moking one exposure, ond wishing to moke onother on the some {exposedl film frome, remove lhe mogozine bock.
b. Rolote the film odvonce cronk until fhe shutier is wound, Ploce the mogozire bock on the comero. You moy now moke the double
ex Po sure.
(8) INIERCHANGING TENSES
Lenses ore quickly ond eosily interchongeoble on the Bronico S. The normol 75mm lens, the 50mm wide ongle ond l35mm telephotoore
equipped with quick-chonge, 1f6 turn boyonet mounrs.
o. To remove boyonet-mounted lens, hold lens front in the right hond with thumb on milled ridges of Lens Boyonef Lock.
b. Press boyonet lock wilh thumb, ond simultoneously rwist lens to the left (counter-clockwisel l/6 turn. Remove lens.
c' To mount lens, insert lens into focusing tube, lining up the red dcts on lens ring ond focusing tube. Twist the lens.mount to righl
lclockwisel until boyonet lock snops closed.
d' To mount Nikkor telephoto lenses longer thon l80mm, first rock the focusing tube bock to infinity. Mount the long telephoto leirs
in the outside boyonet. Focus with the focusing ring on the lens.
Note: The inside of the Bronico focusing tube is threoded {diometer 57mm, pitch-lmml in order to occept ony lenses you now
