          Few minules fo reod . . . Few seconds to do.
Use ony 35mm block ond white or color film in stondqrd cortridges
of 20 or 36 fromes. Lood your Comerq in subdued light.
  I. OPEN THE CAMERA
     Hold the comerq in your lelt hond, lens down,
    moking sure fingers do not touch the lens.
    Unlock cover by turning lock lever on the
    bottom of the comero in the direction of the
     orrow. Lift cover ofi, by sliding  it first slightly
    downword. See figure 1.
 2.          F'I.M CARIR'DGE
    'NSERIlnsert the film cortridge in the recess below
    the Rewind Knob, by sliding  it in from the
    cqmero bottom. Turn the Rewind Knob slightly
     until its shoft engoges the crosspiece inside
    the cortridge.

 3.  ATTACH FILM LEADER rO TAKE-UP SPOOL                                                                                                                                               |i:t
    Turn Wind Knob until tongue (or slot on some,,i.   ,:
    comeros) on toke-up spool fqces you. Pull  ,r+i
    obout 3" o{ film from the cortridge ond insert      ::',,,;
    leoding edge deeply under the tongue, (ot  ffi,

     film rests ogoinst the bottom (outer) flonge of

 4.  AI.'GN F'I.M ON SPROCKEI
    Align the film so thot the perforotions of ihe
     film  will engoge with the |eeth of  the
    sprockef ond the film does nol buckle. Turn
    the Wind Knob in the direction of the orrow
     until it locks. Do not force the Knob. lf   it
    does not turn freely, lift  it ond then iurn.
   Be sure oll film slock is token up. lf slock is
      still present ofter  first winding, repeot
     operotion.

  5.  CI.OSE CAMERA
    Be sure the film is riding stroight in its chonnel, then reploce the
    comerq cover by sliding it gently over the film until the upper edge
      slips into position. Turn the lock. See figure 3.
  6. W'ND UP EXPOSED FILM LEADER
   Now bring the film into position for the first exposure in this
     monner: Lif+ Wind Knob ond turn slightly in the direction of the
    drrow, then releqse Wind Knob, qnd continue turning without
     qdditionol lifting until mechqnism locks. Do this twice (only ofter
     looding, thereofter, only once).

  7.  SEI FRAME COUNIER
    Set frome counter (below Wind Knob. See
     figure 4.) sI zero by turning it in fhe direc-
     Iion of ihe arrow on the Wind Knob.

 8. CHECK SFII'NGS
    Check the three bosic settings: shutter speed
    (exposure), diophrogm (f stop), qnd focus,
   ond you're reody to shoot. When you shoot,              Fis. 4
    hold the comerq STEADY, press shutter lever slowly ALL TI{E WAY
   DOWN! Avoid ierks. YOU WILL HEAR TWO CLICKS, the first,
     releosing the no-double-exposure  lever, the second, tripping the
      sh utter.
 9. W'ND FILM FOR NEXT EXPOSURE
    After moking eoch picture,  lift the WIND KNOB qnd turn in the
     direction of the drtow. This winds the film, odvonces the counter,
   qnd releoses the shutter lever for the next exposure.
10. DOUBLE EXPOSURE AND    PREYENT'ON
    Winding film olso retrqcts'ISthe no-double-exposure piston, which
   when extended, prevents q double exposure.  lf you desire o
    double exposure, do not wind the film ond push in lhe spring
    looded piston. lt will free the releose lever qnd ollow you to-click
    the shutter.

        I          TAKING PICTURES
           l.  After focusing your comero, switch your eye to the view finder,
            right hond window, qnd frome your subiect. The subiecl opPeors
          smotler in this window.. When shooting qt 2 feet, correct for
           "porollox" by lifting your comero slightly so lhot some sPqce will
          oppeqr belween the top edge of your viewfinder ond subiect.
      2. Hold the comero STEADY, press shulier lever slowly ALL THE WAY
       DOWNI Avoid ierks. YOU WnL HEAR TWO CLtCKS, the first, releos-
          ing the no-double-exposure lever, the second, tripping the shutler.
       We recommend using o Bolsey Coble Releqse.
      3. Alwoys wind film immediotely qfter picture hos been token. Thisr             will keep your cqmero reody ot qll times.
      4. After oll film hos been exposed, lhe counter will show it qnd film
            will resist further winding. REWIND it bock into the cortridge unlil
           tension is relieved, turning REWIND KNOB in the direction of ihe
           orrow.
       Simple Setfings For Average Work in Doylight
      Use shutfer speed of 1/50 of o sec., (upper index set ot "50"). Hove
        subiect preferobly in sun, especiolly for color. For proper Diophrogm
       openings (f stops) see below.

     4. I'lo filter is required with Ansco lndoor Color film ond SM ond SF bulbs.
