the one-touch lever (Fig.22).
l. Progrom AP (Toble A)
The AP mode selects moximum shutter speed to minimize
comero shoke, ond is designed to be used when
photogrophing "hi-speed" (moving) objects. This progrom
mode ollows you to stop oction.
2. Progrom CP (Toble B)
The CP mode gives priority to the lens operture, which
offects the depth of f ield. This mode is convenient when
toking pictures of hord-to-focus objects ond when using
wide ongle lenses. This progrom mode seeks out the
correct exposure with the smollest cperture (lens

12. HOLDING THE CAMERA
Holding the comero correctly when shooting is very
importont.
l. The comero should be positioned on the polm of your left
hond so thot you con use your fingers to turn the Focusing

I3. FOCUSING
Look through the viewfinder to compose your picture ond
focus by turning the Focusing Ring. You con focus either by
using the center Split-imoge Spot or the Micro-prism lmoge
Bond thot surrounds the center circle.
Split-imoge Focusing
When the split imoge in the Split-imoge Spot forms o single
imoge, the subject is in focus (Fig.34). When not in focus, the
top ond bottom holves of your subject will not be lined up
properly -- they will be "split" o port. This type of focusing
is especiolly helpful if you hove o stroight verticol line to
focus uDon.
Mircoprism Focusing
