Make it a rule to installthe batteriesbeforefixing the Real Time
Winderto the base of your CONTAXRTS.
Placethe set of 6 AA size batteriesproperlyin the RTWBatteryCase
and then installthe case in the batterycompartment.
Alwaysuse a set of fresh batteries,preferablyalkalinecells.
1. Set the six AA size batteriesin the RTWBatteryCase by match-
   ing their polaritywith the diagram on the case. (See illustra-
   tion.)
2. lnstallthe RTWBatteryCase in the batterycompartmentwith the
   side showingthe polaritydiagramfacing outside.

lf the Film DriveStud fails to turn, replaceall six batterieswith new
ones.

Precautions
 r Beforeinstallingthe batteriesin the batterycase,wipe bothends
   clean with a piece of soft,dry cloth. Oily smearson eitherend
  may resultin malfunctiondue to poor electricalcontact.
 o In case the RealTime Winderis to be left unusedoverany great
   length of time, take out the batterresfrorn its compartment.
 o Whengoing on extendedtours,make it a ruleto takealongspare
   batteries.
 o Do notthrowused batteriesintoopen fire or attemptto dismantle
   them.

o Wenn der Real Time Motor lhngere Zeit nicht benutztwerden
    soll, nehmen Sie die Batterienam besten aus der Batterie-
   kammer.
o Bei groBeren Reisen sollten Sie regelmbBig einen Satz
   Ersatzbatterienmitnehmen.
o GebrauchteBatteriensolltenSie nicht ins offeneFeuerwerfen
   oder auch nicht versuchen,sie abzumanteln.

Whenmounting,makesurethe SelectorDial is set at'OFF'position.
 1. Foldoutthebatterycompartmentand,aftermatchingthe Camera
   Setscrewwith the tripod socketon the camerabase,fix the Real
   TimeWinderby turningthe CameraSetscrewHead all the way
   with the edge of a coin.
   o Make sure the Real Time Winder is fixed flush againstthe
    camerabase. lf there is a gap betweenthe camerabase and
     the RealTime Winder,removethe unit and mountit all over
     agatn.
2. Foldthe batterycompartmentflush againstthe base of the Real
  Time Winder.When properlymounted,the Real_Time winder
   becomesan integalpart of the camera.
   o Totakeoffthe RealTimeWinderfromthe camerabase,foldout
     the batterycompartmentand turn the camerasetscrewhead
       all the way to the left.

   zuklappen.Bei richtigerAnbringungwird der RealTime Motor
   zu einem integriertenTeil der Kamera.
   o Um den Real Time Motor von der Grundplatteder Kamera
     zu losen, schwenkt man die Batteriekammerheraus und
      dreht den Kopf des Befestigungsknopfesganz nach links.

   At'C'setting,exposureswill be made in successionoverthe
   durationthe magneticreleaseis keptdepressed.At'S'setting,
   exposuiewill be madeand the exposedframewill be advanced
  each time the magneticreleaseis pressed.
  Whenmakingexposure,providesteadysupportof the camera
  and pressthe magneticreleasegently.
   o The maximumfilm drivespeedat'C'is 2 framesper second.
   o The Film End Displaywill come on momentarilyeach time
    exposureis made.
   o Whenthe SelectorDial is resetto'OFF',the film can be ad-
    vancedmanuallyaftermakingexposurethroughdepressionof
    the magneticrelease.when set at'C'or'S',the film advance

1  Wahlerscheibenach dem jeweiligen Bedarf einstellen Die
   Wahlerscheibeist von der Stellung"OFF" auf "C" f0r kontinuier-
    lichen automatischenFilmtransportund auf "S" f ur Einzelbild-
    s c h a l t u n gz u s t e l l e n o A c h t e n S i e d a r a u f , d a B d i e W h h l e r -
   scheibe mit der weiBen Indexlinierichtig in die Klickstellung
    gestellt wird. Bei Einstellungauf eine Zwischenpositionkann
    die Einheitnicht richtigarbeiten.
2  Nach der Pr0fungder Belichtung,der Bildkompositionund der
   Festlegungder Schdrfe drucken Sie den magnetischenAus-
