Installing Batteries
1. Place the finger nail in the groove on the Battery compartment cover(18), then
slide toward the ) mark, and gently pull up to open the cover. (PHOTO 3)
2. Insert 2 AAA alkaline batteries correctly according tcithc indicated (+) (-)
polarity. Replace the cover in its original position. (PHOTO 4)
Battery Checking
Open the Lens cover (14) by fully turning cbunterclockwise.
Cover the photo senser eye with your finger and depress the Shutter button (3)
slightly. lf the Red LED lamp in the upper right of the viewfinder blinks, the
batteries are in operatable condition. lf not, the batteries are either not installed
correctly or are too weak and need replacing. (PHOTO 5-6)
NorE: when the Lens cover is closed. The shutter button is interlocked.
Loading Film
1. slide the Back cover open knob toward the ) mark, the Back cover will then open. (PHOTO 7) -
2. Fold out and lift up the Film rewind crank (4) and knob assembly. (pHoro B)
Placing the projecting side of the film cassette downward, insert the cassette

into the Film chamber (17) .
3. Push the crank and knob assembly back and turn it slightly to lock the cassette
in place.
4. Draw the film leader across the camera back and insert in one of the slots in
the Film take-up spool (22).
' Lightly pressing the film down along the lower Film guide rail (27), turn the
Film advance wheel (1) till it stops.
5. Press the Shutter release button (3) fully an$turn the Film advance wheelto
make certain that the teeth of the Film advance spool (21) properly engage to
perforations on the film's edge. (PHOTO 9)
6. With the Film rewind crank in the folded out position, rewind the film slightly
to take up any slack in the film cassette. (PHOTO 1O)
7. Close the Back cover (28) firmly till it clicks.
8. Advance the film by alternatively turning the Film advance wheel and pressing
the shutter release button until the Frame counter (2) rests on "1"

NOTE: Be sure to open the lens cover before pressing the shutter release button.
Frame Gounter
1. The Frame counter (2) displays the number of exposures made.
When the Back cover (23) is opened it automatically resets to "S".

Focusing
1. For general uses, set the Focusing lever (12) to the @ mark of the Focusing
symbols (13)
With this setting, almost all subjects will be in focus (tfi6 yanJocus effect)'

2. When taking a picture of a subject at very long or very short distances, you
may set the Focusing lever to the "A\" or " ,!,d'accordingly'

Handling the Camera
1. As illustrated, suppot the camera with your left hand holding the lower left
corner and your'rightfinger lightly resting on the Shutter button. (PHOTO 16)
2. To prevent camerJmovement, press your left elbow lightly against yo-ur body
and look into the Viewfinder steadying the camera against your face' The right
arm should be relaxed while holding the camera'
3. When you hold the camera vertically the Flash window (6) should face down-

NOTE: Be careful not to shield the photosensor eye and the flash window with your
fingers while holding the camera.
Composing the Picture
1. Place the subject you want to take within the bright line frame in viewfinder.

2. When taking a picture of a subject at short distance with the ,t. (1.1m) mark
setting, the subject should not extend beyond the parallax compensation mark.

3. A hint for better pictures is that you should move one step toward the subject
and fully fill the subject in the bright line frame.
Using the flash
1. lf the red LED blinks at the upper right in the viewfinder when you partially
depress the shutter button, available light is insufficient and use of flash is
necessary.
2. sliding the Flash on button (7) toward the ) mark, the flash head will pop
up and charging will start automatically. The Flash is ready when the flash
ready lamp (26), turns on, then depress the shutter release button.

3. When there is sufficient light the red LED will not appear and blink, and you
can take picture without flash.
Simply compose the picture and depress the shutter button.
NOTE: iwhen the flash is no longer required, press down the flash head to the '/ r stored position until it stops with click sound.
*The distance range of the flash is 0.9 - 3m- *lf the Ready lamp takes more than 30 seconds to come on, replace
all two batteries with new ones. r
Rewinding the Film
1. When the last frame of the film has been exposed, press the Film rewind button
(20) until it is locked in the depressed state. (PHOTO 22)
2.Fold outthe Film rewind crank (4) and turn in the - mark direction. When the film is completely rewound, the rewind crank, suddenly, will turn very easily.

3. Slide the Back cover open knob (16) toward the v mark and open the Back
cover (23). (PHOTO 24)
Pulling up the rewind crank, remove the film cassette.
4. Return the rewind crank to the original position and fold down the crank.
Close the back cover.
*Avoid direct sunlight when unloading or loading the film.

Batterien einlegen
1. Stecken Sie lhren Fingernagel in die Rille des Batteriefachdeckels (18), schieben
Sie den Deckel in Richtung der ; Marke und ziehen Sie ihn zum Ofinen sachte
hoch. (FOTO 3) ?
2. Legen Sie 2 AAA Alkali-Batteribn unter Beabhtung der Polariteten (*) und (-)
richtig ein. SchlieBen Sie den Deckel. (FOTO 4)
Batterien priifen
, Offnen Sie den Objektivdeckel (14) durch Drehen im Gegenuhrzeigersinn bis zum
I Rn.chlag.
Decken Sie das Fotosensorauge mit lhrem Finger ab und dr0cken Sie leicht auf
den VerschluBausldser (3). Wenn die rote Leuchtdiode in der oberen rechten Ecke
des Suchers aufleuchtet, sind die Batterien in betriebsfertigem Zustand. Wenn
die Leuchtdiode nicht aufleuchtet, sind die Batterien entweder nicht richtig
eingelegt oder zu schwach und mussen erneuert werden. (FOTO 5-6)
ACHTUNG: Bei geschlossenem Objektivdeckel ist der VerschluBausloser gesperrt.

Film einlegen
1. Schieben Sie den Knopf zum offnen der Ruckwand in Richtung der ) Marke
- die Ruckwand klappt auf. (FOTO 7) ./ . 2. Klappen sie die Filmruckspulkurbel (4) heraus, um sie zusammen mit dem
R0ckspulknopf hochzuziehen. (FOTO B)
Legen Sie die Filmpatrone so in die Filmkammer (17) ein, daB das vorspringende
Ende der Filmspule unten liegt. '
3. Drucken Sie Filmruckspulkurbel und - knopf unter leichtem Drehen wieder hinein,
um die Filmpatrone zu arretieren.
4. Ziehen Sie den Filmanfang uber das Bildfenster und stecken Sie ihn in einen der
schlitze in der Filmaufwickelspute (22).wahrend sie den Film leicht gegen
die untere Filmfuhrungsschiene (27) androcken, drehen Sie das Film-
transportrad (1) bis zum Anschlag.
5. DrUcken Sie den VerschluBausloser (3) vollstrindig herunter und drehen Sie
das Filmtransportrad, um sich zu vergewissern, daB die Zdhne der
Filmtransport-Zahntrommel (21) einwandfrei in die Perforation am Filmrand
eingreifen. (FOTO 9)
6. Wickeln Sie den Film mit der herausgeklappten FilmrUckspulkurbel leicht auf,
um den Film in der Patrone zu straffen. (FOTO 1O)
7. SchlieBen Sie die Ruckwand (23)fest, bis sie mit einem Klicken einrastet.
8. Transportieren Sie den Film weiter, indem Sie abwechselnd das Filmtrans-

Bildziihlwerk
1. Das Bildzdhlwerk(2) zeigt die Anzahl der belichteten Bilder an. Wird die
Ruckwand (23) geoffnet, so stellt es sich automatisch auf "S" zur0ck.
2. Nachdem ein Film gemdB obiger Beschreibung eingelegt worden ist, sollte das
Zdhlwerk auf "1". stehen, wodurch angezeigt wird, daB die Kamera aufnahme-
bereit ist.
3. Die orangefarbenen Zahlen 12,20,24 und 36 zeigen das Ende der handels-

Film transportieren
1. Durch Drehen des Filmtransportrads(1)um eine ganze Umderehung bis zum
Anschlag wird der Film um ein Bild weitertransportiert.
2. Wenn sich das Rad am Ende eines Films nicht mehr drehen ldBt, versuchen
Sie nicht, es mit Gewalt weiterzudrehen. (FOTO 13)

Einstellen der Filmempfindlichkeit
1. Die Lichtempfindlichkeit (ASA/DlN/lSO) des Films ist auf der Filmpackung
oder im Filmmerkblatt angegeben. "/ .
2. Schieben Sie den Filmempfindlichkeitswzihler (8), bis die Indexlinie mit dem
Empfindlichkeitswert des verwendeten Films zur Deckung gelangt. Falls die
Filmempfindlichkeit auf einen Zwischenwert geeicht ist, stellen Sie die Index-
linie auf den ndchstliegenden Wert ein. (FOTO 14)
Scharfeinstellen
Fur allgemeine Verwendungszwecke stellen Sie den Scharfeinstellhebel (12) auf
die Marke @ der Scharfeinstellsymbole (13). In dieser Einstellung sind nahezu
alle Motive scharf (Umfassender Scharfeinstelleffekt). (FOTO 1S)
2. Beim Aufnehmen eines Gegenstands aus sehr groBer oder sehr kurzer
Entfernung konnen Sie den Scharfeinstellhebel entsprechend auf " A\ " oder " l, " stellen.
3. Die Symbolmarken stehen fur folgende Motive:

Handhabung der Kamera
1. Halten Sie die Kamera mit der linken Hand an der unteren linken Ecke, und
lassen Sie lhren rechten Zeigefinger leicht auf dem lerschluBausl6ser"r / ruhen, wie aus der Abbildung zu ersenen ist. (FOTO 16)
2. Um Verwackeln der Kamera zu vermeiden, stutzen Sie lhren linken Ellbogen
6rn Kdrper ab und blicken Sie durch den Sucher, wahrend Sie die Kamera
gegen lhr Gesicht halten. Der rechte Arm sdll entspannt sein, wahrend er die
Kamera halt.
3. Wenn Sie die Kamera hochkant halten, sollte das Blitzfenster (6) gemiiB der
Abbildung nach unten gerichet sein. (FOTO 17)
ACHTUNG: Achten Sie darauf, daB Sie das Fotosensorauge und das Blitzfenster
nicht mit den Fingern verdecken, wdhrend Sie die Kamera halten.
Bildkomposition
1. Erfassen Sie den Gegenstand, den Sie aufnehmen wollen, mit dem Leuchtrahmen
im Sucher. (FOTO 18)
2. Wenn Sie einen Gegenstand aus kurzer Entfernung bei Einstellung auf die
Marke ,t. (1.1m) aufnehmen, achten Sie darauf, daB der Gegenstand nicht
uber die Parallaxen-Ausgleichmarke hinausragt. (FOTO 19)
3. Als Hinweis fur bessere Aufnahmen raten wir lhnen, einen Schritt ndher auf

Fotografieren mit Blitz
1. Falls die rote Leuchtdiode in der oberen rechten Ecke des Suchers blinkt, wenn

menge nicht aus, weshalb der Einsatz des Blitzes erforderlich ist.
