      REFLEX  CAMERAS
     The " Ensign-Popular,,
         Reflex Camera.

                         SPECIFICATIOI{..
   Camcra. The Camera Body is of well-sbasoned rvoocl, tongued,
 groovcd, glued a'd screwed. It is covered in fine seal-grained  Lealher.
The Body is square, measuring 6| inches, and the weight, complete
 with Lens, is under 4 lbs. The Metal Fittings are richly Enamelled
 in Black and important rnetal parts are Nickelled,
    Bellows of Black Leather.  E,xtension suffrcient to permit the use
 of low-power '.lclephoto Lenses, such as the  ,, Telecentric.,' and
 the " Adon." The Front is  rigid at  all extensions. The Focus_
sing is co'trolled by a large Milled Edge pinion Head on the opposite
side of the camera to trre rtelease. An extra Ground-Glass Focussing
Screen, protected by an extra deep Focussing Hood, is also fitted oi
the Reversing Back. A strong Leather Shoulder Strap is supplied
and a solid Leather Handle.
   Hood. The Ilood is Self-Erecting and is very comfortable  in use.
The narrou' mouth enables the picture to be clearly seen even
 rvhen the Camera is held at rvaist level or above the head.
   Movements. A large Sky-shade is fitted, and having a stiff hinge-it_ will remairr in any position desired. A Rack Rise is provided.
The'picture can be see. and focussed right up to the rnoment of
exposure.
   Shuttcr. The Shutter is Self-Capping, so that Film packs can be
used without the necessity of replacing ilre Adapter slide between
each separate exposure, It  acts also as an extra protection to the
sensitive plate, which can thus always be carried in position, ready
for insta't exposure. provision is rnade for a Flerible wire Rereasiif  req,ui,red.
  The simplicity of the Sbutter fitted to the  ., Ensign-popular,,
Reflex is very rernarkable. All speeds are obtaincd by revolving the
Engraved col'lar on the l(ey wind, through a portion only of a circle.
Tbe se'tting of the Shutter is achieved by hali a turn of the key for
lnstantaneors erposures and three-quarters  of a turn tor Time and
Bul,b ergosures.
