I. Hold Range-finder level, with fingers away
from rear lenses, and look at subject through

the square eyepi

3. Turn dial until
double images
come together.

2. Locate subject in
white circle. Image
will appear double.

The correct focussing distance is then read on
the scale opposite the white pointer. It is easiest
to focus on a vertical line in the subject.

The IDEAL Range-finder is very durably built
and will give excellent service for many years
if used with the care due an optical instrument,

scale may shift slightly. This may be corrected
by turning the set-screw on the dial, or the
