Your new flash meter is a most accurate instrument, using state-of-the-art technology to
several electronic flash units (strobes). lt.measure the momentary flash burst(s) of one or
is particularly useful in bounce and multiple strobe setups where exposure cannot be easily
determined on the basis of calculations. .
 * The flash meter uses a high efficiency silicon photo diode (SPD) of great accuracy and
' with high sensitivity characteristics. Using a highly sophisticated lC with an autornatic ' measuring system, it gives quick and reliable readings of incident flasfi^llgnfiXflgry*
 * A red LED provides an easy-reading digital.display of the F sto) riumG/ to"bel''fised when
measuring flash(es). The peak-hold display, indicating the reading obtained, stays lit
until the ON/OFF switch is re-set.
x Thanks to its white hemispheric integrator design the receptor dome provides wide angle
    coverage for incident light sources.
 * Power source: One(1) 9 volt battery type 006P. Battery checking can be done with the
LED pilot lamp(a). lf the LED lights when the switch is in theON position, the battery
is in good condition. The pilot lamp is also the battery condition indicator; if it fails to
light with the switch (2) 'ON', replace the battery.
 * The pilot lamp will flicker when the F stop indication is in over-range (over exposure)
  *]JRtil re-set. www.butkus.us

   by actuating the ON/OFF switch.
8. lf yqu wish to trigger the flash from the meter
position, connect the accessory E E sync cord
betw$en the flash meter and the ftash unit. In
this case, the flash will fire as the ONIOFF
switch is activated, with the meter providing an
automatic reading of the flash intensity.
f or th is9. The E E sync cord , vff optional accesso ry
flash meter, uses an electronic buffer circuit at
the flash end of the cord to minimize cord resist-
ance effects and to assure reliable and precise
operation of the strobes triggered by means of
   the cord.
