LENSES
Selting lhe ronge (without ronge finder)
Turn the lens mount 42 so thot the stop 47 points to oo, lhe comero is
thereby focussed shorply for "infinity" , i.e. for ronges of more lhon
40 feet.
For obiects within o shorler ronge, the setting is mode by turning the
front lens mount to the desired number of feet.
Estimole, or better meosure, the distonce b,elween the obiect to be photo-
grophed ond the comero ond set the stop pointer 47 on the lens lo
coincide with ihe number of feet found in thiswoy. lf the distonce found,
for exomple'12 feet, is not given on the lens mount, then set lhe front
lens in such o woy fhot the mork 47 comes to rest between l0 ond

double outline. Turning the lens focussing 42 will disploce the second
picture. When both pictures hove been moved one on top of lhe other
so thot only one picture con be seen, lhe lens is shorply focussed for
fhe exposure.
The picture should, if possible, be set in the middle of the squore
stonding on edge, os the meosurements ore most occurote in this position.

HINTS FOR BETTER PICTURES
Alwoys keep the comero lens cleon ond cleon it only with o lens cloih. Never use ordinory
fobrics, os they moy scrotch the lens.
Do not ottempt to pictures closer ihon 3,5 feet, os they will not be shorply focussed.
For speeds of longer thon 1/:s second olwoys use o tripod or o firm bose. The comero hos o
socket for o tripod.
Under normol light conditions, 1:.|1 ond llro or 1/oo sec. ore the most suitoble comero seitings. Use
1/roo or 1/r:r sec. for obiects moving ropidly, rlzoo or 1/soo sec. for very ropid movements, such os in
sports, etc., whereby o lorger operture of I :4 or 1:2.8 will noturolly be needed.
'lOn dull doys open the operture to :8 or I :5.5.
On very bright doys with sunshine on woter or snow, close lhe operture to f :'16. The opticol
exposure meters which con be obtoined of your deolers ore o good help.
It is odvisoble to use on electricol exposure meter, if you ottoch porticulor importonce to
