is specially designed for beginners, as the movements are so simple that it can
be used without any prewous knowledge of photography,
1r1 ade completely from'Themetal, artificial leather covering, the fittings are either nickled orlv I black lacquered. lens is the Goerz Frontar F/11 of cornparatively high rapidity,
and gives good definition. The shutter works for time and instantaneous exposures, and two
ground glass finders for vertical and horizontal pictures
are supplied. Group supplementary lens for distances from
10-16 feet, is included in the cost.

'firis new model corresponds in construction to our Roll Tengor
L 3rl+o x2rl+" and 4llan x2Llz,, model I, but it has, however, the
advantage of the U-front. The body and base board are made of
alurninium, inside black lacquered, the bellows of black leather, and by
the addition of a plate adapter, the Roll Tengor can also be uied for
plate photography.

This new model is provided with the rapid optical equipment which is so much
in demand at the present day.
The high rapidity in' conjunction with the preci-
sfon w'ork of modern camera consfr uction, will
make the Manufoc appeal to the serious amateur
as an ideal instrument, and in comparison with
the great advantages given, the price is extreme[y
moderate. The Manufoc with F13.5 Dogmar fs
certainly a step forward tn camera construction.

GoerzTenax Distance Meter for amateurs
indis- fhis small practical instrument is an
I pensable accessory for the exact and quick
determination of distances. Amateurs using roll
film cameras will find Tenax Distance Meters
extremely useful, as in consequence of it not
being possible in roll film photography to focus upon the ground glaSs screen, distances in
the ordinary way can only be estimated, and the correct estimation of distance is not always
an easy matter. It must also be remembered that when using rapid lenses, good results depend
upon the accuracy with which the focussing scale'is set in relation to the object being taken.
Therefore, when roll film cameras are fitted with rapid lenses, the Tenax Distance Meter
is almost indispensable.
The Tenax Distance Meter is also very useful with plate cameras, because there is very
often not time enough to focus upon the ground glass screen. The Tenax Distance Meter
shows the object divided into two parts, but by turning the disc engraved with the scale,
the two paits can be brought into alignment. The point indicated on the scale when the
object is brought into alignment, gives the exact distance the object is from the observer.

I that is, they contain no breakable
quick silver tubes, but a vacuum cham-
bers made of thin metal, which change
their form with the slightest change in
the pr:ssure of the atmosphere.

Goerz Table Thermometer
This barometer contains no mercury but has as calorimeter a very sensible
metal combination. It is made in the same shape as the Goerz table barometer.
The working of the thermometer is invisibly placed in the foot of the in-
strument. The scale comprises temperatures from + 5o up to 1150 Fahrenheit.
