Instructions for Using the National GRAFLEX I. Your Camera OU have in National Graflex, a camera which has been designed and constructed to permit your obtaining all of the remarkable results which the name Graflex signifies. A. The Lens. The National Graflex lens is of the Tessar Series IC type, made especially for this camera. To those who are familiar with lens qualities this will stand for the best. The focal length is 75 millimeters or three inches. The speed is /.3.5. The diaphragm settings are marked /.3.5, 4, 5.6, 8, 11, 16, 22. Each number from 5.6 to 22 designates an aperture approximately one-half as great as the preceding number. For example, /.5.6 is half as great as /.4 and about twice as great as /.8. On the ring behind the diaphragm markings are three numbers 4, 8 and 16. These indicate settings for hyperfocal distances (see definition on page 13) at the diaphragm numbers corresponding thereto. (For using these three numbers see pages 13 and 15.) ] donated to www.butkus.usView original page 2
