E You will get best resultswhen the sun is anywherebut behind the subiect. Overheador sidelightingis best, back lightingwill leavethe subjectin shadow. F Some people advancethe film before taking a picture. Someadvanceimme- diately after taking a picture. We recommendthe former particularlyprior to storing the camera becausethe latter leavesthe shutter springsunder tension.Howeverit is usuallya questionof personalpreference. FLASH PICTURES A When the flash is turned on by sliding the flash head (7) out from the camerabody, the lens apertureis automaticallyopened up, so the camera can be usedin this modeevenin dull weatheroutdoors. B The optimum flash rangewith 100 ASA film is 3 - 8 ft, with 400 ASA film 3 - 1 4 f t . C Slide out the flash head (7) and wait for ready light (10) to glow. UNLOADING FILM
A Unlike 110 and 126 cartridge loaded cameras,a 35mm camera requires
you to rewind the film back into its cassetteafter the last exposure(usually
12,20,24 or 361.
B lf you don't rewind the film, when you open the back door light will flood
in and ruin the film.
C To rewind film, depressthe film rewind releasebutton (15), unfold the
film rewind crank (8) and turn it in the direction of the arrow, smoothly
and not too fast (to avoid causingstatic electricity problemson the film).
D When you have wound most of the film back into its cassette, you will
probablyfeel a slight increasein effort requiredas the end of the film tongue
pulls out of the slot (18). Then after one or two more turns, the rewind
effort will drop to almost zero,at which point the film is completelyinside
the cassette.View original page 7Page 8 · Read text
