Amongthedifferentcameramodelswithin theHasselbladSystem,
the 905SWChas a unique position,being the only modelthat is
not a single lensreflextype.Thereasonis the famousZeissBiogon
CFi4.5/38 mm wide-angle lens.Thesymmetricaldesignand a
veryshort focal length of thislensleovesno room for o viewfind-
er mirror betweenthe rear of the lensand the film. tnsteadof be-
ing attached to a single lens reflexcomerobody the lensis per-

film magazinesfor 120,220and Polaroidtype films with 6x6 cm
and 6x4.5cm imageformats.
Like all Hasselbladlensessincethe early 1950'swith few excep-
tions, the BiogonCFi4,5/38lensis manufacturedby CarlZeissin
Germony.The lenscan be focuseddown to 0.3 m (l ft.) and pro-
videsafullimagecoveragewitha 90"diagonalanglefieldof view,
on exceptionallyhigh distortioncorrectionand a highly improved
illuminotion distribution. Thelenselementshave the highly effi-
cient CarlZeissT*multi-loyeranti-reflectioncoatingon allglass-
to-air surfaces.
