BATTERY OPERATIOil
One 510-volt bottery (Evereody 497 or equivo-
lent) is used to power the Strobonor 72-A. These
boileries ore ovoiloble ot virtuolly oll comero
shops. The bottery is enclosed in o genuine leother
corrying cose with o nylon slrop. The light weight
pock moy be slung from lhe shoulder by the nylon
strop or it moy be worn on the belt. To put it on
your belt, simply unsnop lhe single foslener on the
front of the pock, slide the leother tongue qround
belt, ond refosten the snop. To instoll bottery,
ploce the bottery contoct ossembly on the lerminol
end of the 510-volt bofiery. Be sure fhe two out-
side terminols of the bottery mofch the corre-
sponding two pins of the conlqct ossembly. Now
slip the bottery bond lengthwise qround the bot-
tery ond confoct ossembly to hold the two firmly
together.

Using the Strobonor 72-A qs o fill light in sunlight
requires o speciol exposure determinotion. There
ore now |wo light sources ond both must be con-
sidered. Otherwise, the picture moy be over-
exposed ond look os though fwo suns were shin-
ing. For best results, lel the sun do mosl of the
lighting, ond odd iu$ the right omounf of light to
fill in the shodows cost by the sun. With the guide
number set on the Exposure Diol, reod the t/stop
for your lomp-to-subiect  distonce. Now, sfop down
1 odditionol f/stop for color film, ond 2 I/stops
for block ond white. This keeps the flosh-fill sec-
ondory to the sunlight. Since the flosh durotion of
the Strobonor 72-A is too short fo be offected by
shutter speeds, you moy now odiust the shutter
speed for ihe outside light conditions. Use on ex-
posure meter on the sunlit or highlight side to
determine the proper shutler speed for ihe f/stop
olreody determined.
EXAMPLE l: Using Ektochrome (ASA Index 32),
