THE INDIAN HEAD LEGEND

Once upon a time a daring Chief was killed in
battle upon this very spot. In commemoration
of his bravery, the remainder of his tribe carved
this monument in stone. This famous Indian
Head is located on Mt. Tammany, New Jersey
side of the Delaware River at Delaware Water
Gap, Pa.
