LENSES: Krlarscope and Kilarflex housings accept ail Basic (short nount) Kilar lenses,
and other lenses having Leica-type thread. For use: with Basic Tele-Kilars
150-300-400-600 mm, the Kilarscope and Kiiarfl{lx for Leica are supplied Lcica- threacl with an adapter (rezvi)i this adapter is not necessirry for the Contax housings. nE
90 mm and 135 mnt Kilar lenses are used on ttre Leica Kilarscope and Kilar-
flex without the rezwi adapter; they cannot be used with the housings for Contax. -

When tisccl with standard camera lenses, the refler housings operate as "extensior
tubes" and can be used for extreme close-ups. --f-- KINfu

ADJUSTMENT OF MIRROR SYNCHRONIZATION: The coupling cables are carefully adjusred
at the factory so that rhe mirror is released just L,efore the shutter operates. To
modify the synchronization, loosen the small lo<:k screw in the plug body and
slicie the release core in or out. Shortening the protruding core results in a
shorter time 1ag, iengthening in a longer lag between mirror and shutter release
momeuts. This fine adjustment must be made wlth great care. Tighten lock screw
after desired setting has been determined.

C A U T I O N : THE SILVERED MIRROR of the housing may be kept clean by an occasional
dusting with a soft hair dusting brush. Do not t{)uch mirror surface by hand. Do not
use linen or learher dusting cloth.
