GENERAL  :

   The KINAX BABY is a 3 114 x 2114 camera specially constructed for theamateur
 photographer. lts extreme simplicity reduces to the minimum the operations neces-
 sarry for taking pictures.

      It is equipped with a fixed focussing tens frorn 7' 6" to infinity and with a direct
.release shutter permitting time and instantaneous exposures also an iris diaphragm
 with 3 lens stops. lts brilliant viewfinder is reversible for vertical and horizontal
 views, also it has the advantage that the shutter is synchronised for use with flash
 lamps.
     It is automatically operated and may be closed mereby by pressing on the
 notched portion of the struts. The film window at the back ot the camera is protected
 by a sliding panel allowing the use of panchromatic films without the risk of haze.

   The additionnal colour filters and lenses Kinax PMP may be used on the
KINAX BABY.

                       LOADING THE CAIT'IERA

                              The camera is loaded as follows with the 6 x 9 cnt. film
                                 wlth metal core (620, A 20, etc.).
                                   1) Open back of camera, pushing in direction of arrow the
                                   catch located under the handle (fig. 1).                                2) In the shadows, place the new spool ln the lbver spool     'l
                                chamber (fig. 2) introducing into the left hand cheek the*n1'+*+i+E,lrffi                         axis (axle) surrounded by spring then push to brlng right.      /)

                           on same.ffi                                 3) Break the adheslve paper round the spool, draw on the
irfi                           end or the gfip, insert into longest slot of empty axle
                                    placed in upper chamber, ntalte a few turns by means of
                                    the winding key in order to stretch the paper (fig. 3) the
                                    black side to be to the Inside. See that the paper winds
                                            parallel in order to prevent any possibility of fault during
                                  exposlng : if it twlsts when winding rectify this condition
                                          at once.

      TAKING THE PICTURE
   The camera is opened by pressing the button 13;  if
necessary exert moderate pressure on the end of the baseboard
so as to lock it and to ensure that it is correctly set in the
proper position (flg. 5).
    Regulate the iris diaphragm to one of the 3 lens stops by
means the index 5.
Use diaphragm 1 lor subjects with light and shade.
              2 in very clear weather, not ctoudy,        '-       4 in full sunlight, at seaside or in mountainous
                  ountry,
  The camera is always correctty focused whatever the
distance of object to be photographed, from 7) 6" to infinity.

       INSTANTANEOUS'EXPOSURES
          Bring setting lever of shutter 9 opposite to the letter 1.
          Relelse is eJfected by pressing lever 11 to the end of the       strokd'oi-by using-iiteiitite releise which may be fitted to      the casing bf the shutter (fig. 6).
            TIME EXPOSURES
          For time exposures  it is necessary to use atripod screwed

  METHOD OF HOLDING THE CAMERA
     Left hanci to hold the baseboard very firmly. and. press
 the back of the camera against the body.

folding back the baseboard until ii engages.

     4) Seal up the spool by means of gummed paper
      5)- Take out the empty spool of the lover reel-holder and         place it in the upper film chamber.
        6)  Rotate the winding key until the catch engages in the        spool and drives it along.
      7) The camera is then ready for renewed loading'
