DEPTH OF FIELD
When o subiect ot o certoin distonce from the comero is
brought into shorp focus, lhere is o certoin ronge, in front of
ond behind this subiect, in which obiects will be in good focus
ond register cleorly. This fore-ond-oft ronge is colled the
depth of field of o lens. The depth of f ield scole @ is morked
out in operture volues to the right ond left of the distonce
scole index mork. Af ter focusing in the subject, reference to
the distonce ond depth of field scoles will give you the ovoiloble
depth of field (focusing toleronce) for whotever operture
setting (f/ volue) you wish to use.
For exomple, if the moin subiect is in correct focus ot 5 4 8il 16 meters (see illustrotion), the depth of field ot I/l is from 4
meters f rom lhe comero lo 7 meters. At | /lO, the shorp

FILTER: Wenn ein Filter ouf dos Obiektiv oufgeschroubt wird, ist es erforderlich, die Bellchtung unter
Berijcksichtigung des Verliingerungsfoktors des Filters einzustellen. Nochdem die Belichtungszeit und die
