THYRISTER MODEL FFD 40 AND FF .^{I

Thyrister circuit (sometimes called series control) is different from other types of
automatic flash using only the amount of energy needed to cover the distance
to subject. This circuitry will make the flash recycle faster and give more flashes.
Energy remains the same in the capacitor. When the unit is fired at any distance
from the subject less than maximum range. At short distance as much as 90%
of the energlf is not used this build-up of energy allow the flash to recycle much faster
and use it again as quick 6 you wind the falm.
Conserving energ'y with this special circuitry will allow you much longer battery
life as high as 2,500 flashes under optimum condition. This varies of subject matter Idistance. Life of battery control recycle time and number of flashes, thyrister
