To remove dirt or finger-prints, clean with a soft cotton cloth
rubbing in a circular motion.
Use of a coarse cloth or unnecessary rubbing may scratch the
lens surface and eventually cause permanent damage.
For a more thorough cleaning, photographic-type lens
cleaning fluid may be used. Always apply the fluid to the
cleaning cloth, never directly on the lens.
Shock, m._qisture, salt, sand, etc. can cause damage to your
camera.'
lf you must take your camera onto the beach, remember that
sand gets every- where, so keep the camera well wrappe{ up
and in a clean sealed bag when not in use.
Avoid putting the camera in any place where strong sunliQht
would cause a considerable increase in temperature.
Avoid abrupt temperature changes; it may cause condensa-
tion inside/on the camera and the lens.
When storinQ for a period longer than 3 months, operate the
camera without film once a quarter: Cock and release the
shutter, turn diaphragm ring and distance ring.
Then store it again with the shutter released. l
