QUAD.
This is one of the most simple Cameras
on the market. It takes four pictures with-
out reloading. Each plate is swung out
of the way to make room for another as
soon as the picture is taken. This is done
with a small key. It has a very simple
shutter that can be used for snap shots or
tirne exposures. It also has a very bril-
liant finder. This Camera is used with dty
plates only. Without a doubt this is one of
the best cheap cameras taking this size
picture on the market.

A Complete, Up.to-Date Camera.
It is thoroughly well made and serviceable in every respect. It is made by one

ing, portrait and architectural work, as well as
for interiors.
It uses a standard size plate, viz., 3/x4ft

leather, and has leather handle.
It has two vie w finders and two tripod plates.
It is fitted with a first-class achromatic
lens, the Rochester safety shutter, and double

ADAIUS, QUINCY, FRANKLIN, FIFTH AVE., CHICAGo.
THE RAY 1897 MODEL.
This is one of the most complete and per-
fect Cameras ever offered for the price. It
makes a3%x3% inch picture. Has a revolv'
ing diaphragm with three openings, brilliant
square view finder (properly adjusted),
universal tripod socket, and improved pat-
ent revolving shutter, simple and prac-
tical.
The covering is genuine morocco grain
leather, trirnmed with polished and lac- S%xS% inches. quered brass.
The Ray has a capacity of six plates, measures 6ftx4/ix4% inches, and weigirs
less than 14 oz.
The new patent plate holders are one-fiith of an inch thick, the smallest, lightest
and most durable ever placed on the market. They each hoid one plate with a
separate rubber slide to each, thus preventing the failures continually made in
magazine cameras, in which, if light reaches one plate it injures the whole lot,
causing great expense and annoyance. Owing to improved methods of manufac-
turing, we are able to furnish these plate holders at more reasonable prices than
anything hitherto offered. Cut sheet films can also be used in these holders without
any extra appliances.
LENSTS.
This being the most important part, they have received careful consideration.
Theyare singleachromatic of the most improved type, and all are carefully selected
and adjusted as to focus, and cover the plate entirely to the corners.

The same care is taken in the selection of

MAN,SHALL FIELD & CO.,
THE WIDI ANGLE WIZARD.
lntroducing the desirable feature of a camera, being fitted witb both a rapid
rectilinear and a wide angle lens.
The Wide Angle Wizard is a complete, up-to-date folding Camera, made of
selected mahogany, highly polished, covered with best black grain leather. Has
swing back, ground glass for accurate focusing, and two tripod sockets. Front has
rising, falling and lateral movements, and is focused with rack and pinion.
The lenses are extra rapid rectilinear, mounted in a Bausch & Lomb patent
iris diaphragm shutter, with time and instantaneous speeds, and the well-known
" Emil " wide angle lens, which, while not in use, is secured to the front of camera.
These lenses are the best of their kinds and are readily interchangeable on the
same flange.
The front lid of camera opens to an angle of 90" and is there secured when
the rapid rectilinear lens is to be used, or else is dropped lower, beyond the
angle covered by the wide angle lens when the latter is employed. In this case the
brass tracks for front board can readily be extended for focusing. A novel feature
is the location of the finder, in the upper right-hand corner of the camera.
