This lens is designed with a short mount and no focusing ring for use primarily with the
Minolta Auto Bellows I. The focusing range with that bellows is all the way from infinity
to 1:1 magnification(life size)on the film. This lens' relatively great focal length ena-
bles greater lens-to-subject distance, with resulting greater freedom in placement of
lighting equipment. lts automatic diaphragm operation facilitates focusing and viewing up
to and after the moment of exposure.View original page 2Page 3 · Read text

LENS CARE
Never touch glass lens surfaces with the f ingers.
Should a glass lens surface become dirty, gently whisk loose, dry matter off it with a
blower lens brush. lf necessary, the glass surface may then be wiped gently with a circular
motion from the center outward with a soft, clean cotton cloth or special photographic lens
ti ssu e.
Liquid lens cleaner should be used only when fingerprints or other matter cannot be
removed with a dry cloth or lens tissue. Never drop lens cleaning fluid directly on lens
surfaces. Instead, apply only one drop of fluid to the cloth or tissue and wipe the glass
surface gently from center to edge.
The lens barrel and other metal parts may be wiped with a silicon-treated cloth.
For all other service and repairs, contact your authorized Minolta repair facility.
STORAGE
When not in use, glass surfaces should be protected by attaching front and rear caps and
the lenses stored in their cases. Do not store lenses where temperature or humidity is high or
near corrosive chemicals or gases.
lf a lens is to be stored for an extended period, it is best to place it in its case in an
airtight container (such as a heavy or double plastic bag) along with a small bag of a drying
agent (such as silica gel).
