Your light, compact Hi-matic SD with its built-in electronic flash and dating mechanism
is one of the most versati le and easiest-to-use cameras available. tts CdS EE system provides
perfect automatic exposure in conditions where flash is not needed. Simply popping up the
built-in flash automatically switches on the flashmatic system and couples aperture and
focus for accurate exposure adjustment over a considerable range. lts convenient date
imprinti ng mechanism helps to identify your pictures by recording the day, month and year
as well as other useful data on the film as the shutter is released. The information-center
viewf inder tells you when there is enough light for normal hand-held auto exposure without
flash, warns when to use tripod or flash, and indicateswhen the flash is ready to fire. lt also
indicates when the date is being recorded and shows the approximate position of the date
on film.
Please take a few minutes to read this manual carefully for best results and longest
service life from your new Hi-matic SD. Then keep it for reference as needed.
