the Meter number opposite the mark A' is the same as the
ASA guide number of the film you are using.
\When an amplifier is attached to the meter, you
should set the ASA number to the mark O in
                                  place of r..
When using the filter over the lens, divide the
ASA number of your film by the filter factor,
then set the attained number to the mark.
For example; if the 6lm speed is ASA 200 and
you use the filter with a fiIter factor of 2,

NOTES
I. The shutter can not work at accurately proportional speed
between graduations, such as between 100 and 200, but
     propcrtional f stops are possible
2, If the shutter speed window shows a midway position
between 1 and B, it tells you rhat you should make an
exposure of 2 sec., and in such a case turn the wheel to
B after adjusting the diaphragm scale as indicated by the
needle, then release the shutter for 2 sec. If the window
shows " B ", you should make an exposure of 4 sec.
. The Minolta Meter is coupled with the shutter speed dial
of the camera up to the speed of r/20s sec. For l/466 sec.,
set rhe speed by turning the dial of the camera.
" Flandling the Meter " in page 2 and, 3 is applied

Measuring the Light
f Reflected light method
    This is recommended for ordinary
    subjects and lighting conditions.
    Remove the incident light atach-
ment (6) if attached on the light
     cell (:).
Portraits
\fhen taking a portrait in the sun-
light, bring the light cell (5) of the
meter up.close to the subject's face
    (6-12 'inches), and measure both
the light and shadow sides of the
face. An average bei*"en the two
    indications will give an accrrrate
     reading.
Be sure that the shadow of the
camera does nor fall on the subiect
    while measuring. www.butkus.us

To measure the landscape, tilt the

I Incident light method
When the subject has extreme contrast of
color or brightness, or the brightness of
backgrounds or settings is very different
from that of the subject. the " Incident
light method " is preferable. These cases
are such as colorful flor, irers, portraits with
the sky for background, or subjects
  illuminated by artificial light.
To measure by this method, attach the
incident light.attachment to the light cell.
Face the liglit cell of the meter from the
subject position towards the camera posi-
tion. \When the subject is inaccessible, measurement may be taken at a Proper spot ["e
where there is the same lighting condition
as that of the subject, making sure the light /[\ cell faces the same direction as the above case, i. e. "from the subject to the camera".www.butkus.us/]\

[Jnder poor lighting conditions
Amplifier is attachable to the Minolta Meter, which
increases the sensibility of the meter 4 times. In this
case, the ASA number on the 6lm speed dial should
be set against the mark @. E*..it for this, the
handling is the same as instructions on page 2 and 3.
To atach the amplifier, slide it in the shoe of the
                                 fneter until it stops.
To measure by " Incident light methodr', attach each
incident light attachmenr to the light cell of the
meter and to the amplifier respectively..

NOTES
  1. 1'he exposure meter should not be subjected to any unnecessary shocks.
  2. Try to avoid humidity.
  3. Keep your wrist watch away as the meter is magnetic and may damage it.
