PROGRAM BACK SUPER 7O|PROGRAM BACK SUPER 90
Minolta produces two models of its Program Back Super: The Program Back Super 70 for use on the Minolta
(MAXXUM) 7000, and program Back Super 90 for the Minolta (MAXXUM) 9000.,Both units use precise micro-
computer control to enable an extensive range of versatile features:
o LCD panel uses a combination of graphic displays for showing exposure information visually and a dot-matrix
character display to simplify setting of data and camera-control functions.
o World's first automatic imprinting of shutter speed and aperture settings. Other data that can be imprinted
include: date, time, count numbers, and fixed numbers. All data is imprinted by red LEDs alongthe rightedge of
the frame in the area normally covered by a 35mm slide mount.
o Advanced intervalometer function enables making exposures at precisely timed intervals for time-lapse and
scienti f ic PhotograPhY.
o Seven exposure modes are available, including three programmed AE modes that can be used with any focal
length and can be adjusted at will. shutter- or aperture-priority AE, manual, and long-exposure modes ensure
maximum exposure control in any situation.
o Automatic bracketing function operates in all of the back's exposure modes with complete information is
displayed on the LCD Panel.
o Multiple memory function can be used to memorize up to 8 exposure readings. These can then be adiusted for
midtone, highlight, or shadow reproduction.
Diagrams used thoughout this manual show the Program Back Super 70; however, except where indicated,
all settings and operations of Program Back Super 90 are the same.
please read this manual thoroughly. This will help you understand how to operate the Program Back Super and
to realize its full potential right from the start.
