How to use the Minolto SR Meter:
Used correctly, this CdS light meter will give you correct
exposure every time. lt meqsures outdoor light ond indoor
light os well. lt's extremely versotile, every bit os relioble
os the hond-held types the professionols use. lt wilI
meosure the ref lected light of onything thot con be
photogrophed. There ore two light-meosuring scoles on
the top of the meter. One is for generol outdoor
photogrophy, the other is for dittrly lit situotions. In such
situotions switch to low sensitivity light ond reod the
corresponding operture figures on the meter scole.

lnsert the pin into the meter shoe locoted on the comero.
Before ottoching the meter to the comero, however, you i
J should set the two shutter diols (one on the comero, one
on the meter) to the some speeds. Then, press the meter
down into the shoe ond it will couple correctly to the
comero's shutter. lf it does not, rotote the meter's shutter t
. diol slightly until you feel it engoge with the comero's

Selecting shutter speed or operture !
You .moy set either shutter speed or operture first. rf you
set shutter speed first, meosure the right ond the meter
needle will indicote the correct operture for thot speed. rf
you set operture first, odiust the shutter diol, while meosuring
the light, until the meter needle coincides with the operture
you hove pre-selecteC.

Remove t he bottery cover on
t he bottom of t he meter by
turning the cover counter-clock-
wise. Toke out the old bottery.
When replocing the new bottery,

When the meter needle does not
register due to inodequote light,
use the low sensitivity shift diol. ('L" Rotote the diol to th e position.
This shifts the meter to low sensi-
tivity light ond gives o correct
exposure reoding even under odv-
erse lighting conditions. ln some
coses the low sensitivity reoding
moy be one f /stop lower thon the
high sensitivity reoding. Use the
