The correct method of holding

On the left: When toking verticol pictures the one oculor of the binoculor which serves for lhe exposure is ploced
to the side of the heod (observotion of the picture with thr, right eye ploced next lci left oculor, olternotively wilh
the left eye to fhe right oculor.) Centri: In cose of horizorrtol piclures turn binoculor oround 90". On the right: For
longer times of exposure the threod of the tripod is screwed on the lower end of the clomp for the wire releose. To
ovoid ierking, the wire releose should be loosened ond operoied in o free position. lmporlont: The threod G of the
ottochment for the tripod is to be used only when this oltctchmentserves.os tripod odopter, i. e. without binoculors.
Time of exposure
Most binoculors necessitote o time of exposure slightly longer thon usuol. The exfension of the exposure period
depends on the light intensity of the binoculor used.'l'his is most effectively deiermined by octuol tests for
comporison. In generol, one ond o holf to double the normol exposure is required. (for instonce 1lzoool o second
