Pull down the film compartment release latch (18) and sruing open the cover.
lnsert the 35mm film cassette into the film chamber (19). Do not force it in. lf the

so that the rewind shaft ( 17) engages with the film cassette spool.
Rotate the shutter lock lever (3) from "LOCK" position (marked "L'01 to "ON"

leader lightly against the moving drum so that claws on the drum rim can catch
one of the perforations on the film, taking care that your finger does not touch
the claws on the drum rim.

The film is now in position for the first picture. FILM SPEED SETTING The ASA/D lN speed of the film is specified on the film box. This camera accepts fifms with speeds ASA 64, 100 & 400 (Dtltt 19,21 &271. Remove lens cap, turn film speed setting ring (121 and set the ASA/DIN speed of the film in use in film speed window (6). For 50 ASA (DlN 18) film use the 64 ASA (DlN 191 setting. FILM RUN CONFIRMATION The film run confirmation window (101 has a coloured disc insidewhich will rotate to show you that film is loaded and advancing properly. However please remember that the film inside a new film cassette may be loaded somarhat loosely and the cploured disc may not rotate until the slack has been taken up. The colour disc (10) should begin to rotate after a few exposures. FOCUSING Distance is indicated on the focusing ring (7) in feet & metres and alo by four zone symbols. the lens barrel. For exampfe; when setting the focusing ring at 10 feet (3 m),
Your subject shoufd be at t0 feet (3 m) for a sharp, crisp picture. When you look
through the viewfinder (9) you can check which symbol is in position, through the
zone focus symbol mark checking window (11). Move your eye to the lower
right side and you will see the symbol set in position in the small rectangutar
window below the viewfinder.
When the subject is between 3-7 feet ( 1-2m1, compose the pictures within the
parallax correction marks. (See figure 3).

EXPOSURE CONTROL
This camera has a fully automatic exposure @ntrol system with a CdS electric
eye. Aim the camera in the direction of the subiect; depress the shutter button (2)
lightly, half-way. lf the green (OK) LED (16) gtows, theambient lightcondition is
OK. Depress the button further down and take the picture. lf the red (STOP) LED
(15) glows, ambient light is insufficient and you should use the built-in etectronic
flash. (See section on Flash Photography). The red (STOP) LED (151 will also
glow if you forget to take off the lens cap, so check first. lf neither LED glows,
il check to see if you have turned the camera on (3); if you have, then thebatteries
I may be rundown
! NOTE: There may be times when your subject is back lit or in front of a light background. In such cases the "sensor override" sryitch (241 shoutd
be used to ensure correct exposure. By sliding this sruitch away from the
lens barrel the "sensor" system is activated and the flash starts charging
automatically. As in normal flash photography wait for a few seconds
more after the green "OK" LED (16) glows before taking your picture.

NOTE: lf the flash has been fully charged ready foryouto shoot, but you re-aim
the camera at a bright subject, the automatic sensor system will reset the
camera back to daylight mode (by altering the lens aperture and turning
off the flash). The flash will not fire unless it is needed. lf you move
the camera to & fro between bright and poorly-lit subjects the camera will
as long as you see the green 'OK' automatically adjust itself to suit - LED you can shoot.
AUTOMATIC REWIND & UNOADING CAMERA
This camera has a fully automatic rewind mechanism. When you finish the last
exposure of the film, rewinding will start immediately, and automatically will
stop when the whole exposed film is rewound. The rewinding will always start
and stop automatically regardless of the length of the film. When the film has been
rewound into its film cassette, open the back @ver and take out the film cassette
and send it for processing without delay. The film counter automatically revefts
to the starting point (marked as "S").
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE SHUTTER RELEASE BUTTON WHILE
REWINDING THE FILM.

www.butkus.us NOTE: Usually one or two extra exposures are possible regardless of the indicated
number of exposures on the film box or cassette. So even after the
maximum indicated number appears in the film counter (such as 12,24
or 36) you may take additional pictures, and only when the last actual
exposure is taken will raruinding start immediately and automatically.
lf you wish to take out the film cassette leaving some frames unexposed,
put the lens cap on and depress shutter release to advance the unexposed
part to the end. When automatic rewinding starts and then stops, take it
out for processing.
WEAK BATTERIES
As the camera's batteries lose their power, you will notice that film winding speed
will slow down, and the flash will take a considerably longer time to recycle
(30 seconds or more). We suggest that you change to fresh batteries as soon as
this happens.
proceed as lf however the batteries go completely flat with film in the camera,
follows:
1. lf the batteries fail after taking a photograph: change to fresh batteries and
continue filming as usual.
l3View original page 16Page 17 · Read text
2. lf the batteries fail during the rewind cycJe, and if you have not opened the
film door: change to fresh batteries and the renruinding will automatically
resume.
3. lf the batteries fail during the rewind cycte, and if you have opened the film
door (which means you have caused the camera to go into 'forward gear');
put on the lens cap (or cover the lens), put in fresh batteries and press the
shutter button until the camera winds forward (again) through the remaining
film and then automatically performs the rewind cycle.
WARNING: lf you open the film door and find that the film is not renruound
fully DO NOT PULL THE FILM with your fingers asthis can damage
