Die MONTIFLEX  ist eine moderne zweiougige Spiegel-
reflex-Komero, Formot 6x6, t}r 12 Aufnohmen ouf B ll 8
Rollf ilm (6 x 9).
Mit dem Doumen der rechten Hond driickt mon den
Riegelschieber (19) noch rechts und kloppt die Rijck-
wond (21) ouf.
Die beiden Spulenholterknopf e (10) der unteren Film-
kommer (22) werden rechts und links herousgezogen und
durch leichtes Linksdrehen gesichert. letzt wird der Film
                                                                                                                                                             *'so in die untere Filmkommer (22) eingelegt, do8 bei
Abrollen des Schutzstreilens die rote Seite noch oben
zu liegen kommt. Unter gleichzeitigem Druck der Film-
spule gegen die Bremsfeder (27) werden die beiden
Spulenholterknopfe  (10) durch leichtes Verdrehen wieder
entriegelt, bis diese zurljckschnoppen und einrosten.
Der Schutzstreif en wird ijber die Gleitrolle (26) und
Filmbijhne (25) hinweg zur oberen Filmkommer (24) ge-
zogen und mit dem ongeschrogten Anfong in den breiten
Schlitz der Leerspule eingeftjhrt. Unter leichtem Vorworts-
drehen des Filmtronsportknopfes (5) wird der Schutz-
streifen gestrofft.
Die Rijckwond (21) wird zugekloppt, fest ongedrtjckt und
der Riegelschieber (19) noch links geschoben.
Filmtronsport und VerschluBspqnnen
Der unter dem Filmfenster (20) ongebrochte ponschieber
wird noch oben geschoben, wodurch der Blick ouf dos
Schutzpopier des Filmes freigegeben wird. Nun wird der
Filmtronsportknopf (5) so longe gedreht, bis im Film-
fenster (20) die Zohl ,,1" sichtbor"ist.
Der VerschluBsponnhebel (13) wird bis zum Anschlog
noch oben gezogen. Die Komero ist fijr die erste Be-                                                        Ilichtung oufnohmebereit.                                                                                                                    ,l

spring, this will secure the film in position. The bocking poper
goes over the roller no.26 ond the iocol plone no.25 to the
upper film chomber no.24. Insert the topered end of the bocking
poper into the slot of the toke-up spool. By slowly winding the
film tronsport knob no.'18, the lilm storts to wind.
The bock no.21 clips into posilion. Once it is pressed down, the
lever no. 19 in pushed over to the left.
Film tronsport ond cocking the shutters
Underneoth the film window no.20 there is o sliding window which
is pushed up enobling you to see the bocking poper on the film.
You now turn the film tronsport knob no.5  until the figure 1is
visible in the film window no.20. The cockino lever no.'15 is
pulled up os for os it con go ond then the comero is reody for
exposing.

After you hove completed the twelve exposures, the rest of the
film is wound up into the top film chomber no.24. Ihe comero
is then opened ond the retoining knob no. 10 of the film chomber

      Komero wird geoffnet. Der Spulenholteitcnopt  (10) der
      oberen Filmkommer (24) wird noch links herousgezogen
      und gesichert. Donn wird der Filmtronsportknopf  (5) noch;       rechts herousgezogen und der Film der oberen Film-
      kommer (24) entnommen.t
       Uffnen und SchlieBen des lichtschochtes
      Der Lichtschocht (1) wird geoffnet, indem die ols Deckel
       ousgebildete Vorderwond (2) des Lichtschochtes hinten
       hochgezogen wird. Der Lichtschocht (1) springt in Ge-
        brouchsstellung und gibt die Mottscheibe frei.
     Zum Schlie3en des Lichtschochtes (1) wird die Vorder-
     wond (2) noch hinten eingeschwenkt, wobei dorouf  zt)
       ochten ist, doB die Einstellupe (23) vorher noch hinten
       umgelegt wurde.
        Schorfeinstellung
       Die Schorfeinstellung erfolgt durch Drehung des Focussier-
      Rodchens (17) mit dem Doumen der linken Hond, wobei
      die Kontrolle ouf der Mottscheibe erfolgt.
       Zur Feineinstellung wird die Lupe (25) in den Lichtschocht
       (1) gekloppt.
      Bei Sportoufnohmen bzw. Aufnohmen von sich schnell
      bewegenden Objekten konn der Sportsucher benutzt
       werden. Zu diesem Zweck wird die Lupe (23) noch oben
      geschwenkt und in den Deckel des Lichtschochtes  (1)
        eingehokt.
       Blenden- und Zeitwohl
       Rechts und links vom Aufnohmeobjektiv (14) sind die
      Hebel fijr die Blendeneinstellung  (9) und Zeiteinstellung
        (15) mit den entsprechenden Skolen zur Einstellung der
       jeweils gewljnschten Werte ongebrocht. Der in der Mitte
       unter dem Aufnohmeobjektiv befindliche Hebel (11) mu8
       ouf der Morke M oder X stehen.

        Opening cnd closing of the top scleen hood
       The top screen hood no. 1is opened by pulling up the lid no.2.       The hood no. l  springs into position ond exposes the ground gloss
        screen. To shut the hood no. 1, fold the hood down ond toke
        notice thot the mognifier no.23 hos been pushed bock into the        normol position.
         Focussing
      By turning the focussing wheel no. 17 with the thumb of the left
        hond, this enobles you to control the focussing of the ground gloss
         screen. For fine focussing, you spring the mognifier no.23  into
        the viewf inder hood no. 1. For quick oclion photogrophs,  the
       comero is provided with o sports viewfinder. To use this,  the
         mognifier is sprung upwords ond the lid ol the viewfinder is folded
      down ond locks into position. Belore doing this, the comero con
      be locussed on the ground gloss screen. Alternotively with the
        help of the enqroved distonce scole ond the depth of focus scole
       no.6 which is engroved on the outer ring of the viewing lens.

        Choice of opertures ond exposure tlnes
      On the right ond left side of the toking lens no. 14 ore the levers
         for the operlure no.9 ond the spead 'ettinn no 15 ond rhe o-nlng
         for setting the operture    f or time volues. The lever no. 11 which is
         in the middle underneoth the toking lens hos to be on either M
        or X.

      DoppelbelichtungssPerre
     Die MONTIFLEX ist mit einer Doppelbelichtungssperre
       ousgerijstet. Eine zweimolige Belichtung         Filmob-

       Selbstousltiserouf noh men
     Zur Benutzung des Selbstouslosers wird der Hebel (11)
     ouf ,,Y" eingestellt.
        Blitzlichtouf nohmen
        Fijr Blitzoufnohmen ist die MONTIFLEX mit einem synchro-
                                                         des         nis ie rten Ansch luB (12) ve rsehen. Bei Ste llung
      Hebels (11) ouf den Buchstoben ,,M" sind Aufnohmen mit
      M-Blitzlomoen von 1150         sec., bei Stellung des
      Hebels (1i) ouf den Buchstoben-1l3OO ,,X" Aufnohmen mit Elek-
       tronen-Blitzgeroten bis 11300 sec. und Blitzlompenouf-
     nohmen bis 1/25 sec. moglich. Auch bei Selbstousloser-
      oufnohmen mit der Einstellung ouf den Buchstobefr ,Y"
      sind Blitzoufnohmen moglich, und zwor mit Elektronen-
        blitz bis 1/500 sec. und mit Blitzlompen bis 1/25 sec.

        Shutter releose
      The shutter is fired by releose no.7. The shutter con olso be       releosed with o coble releose which is screwed into socket no. J.
        Double exposure prevention
      The Montiflex hos been fitted with double exposure prevention
       device, moking double exposure impossible. The comero is titted
       with on indicotor set underneoth the film tronsport knob no.5 which
      shows block when the film in wound on ond reody to toke ond
       red when the film hos been exposed ond requires winding on.
       Delqyed oclion
      The Prontor SVS shutter built into the Montiflex is fitted with o
       deloyed oction device. To use this lever no.  '1 t hos to be pushed        lo V.
         Floshlight photogrophy
      The Montiflex hos been fitted with o synchro plug no. 12 ond by
        putting the lever no. 11 to the letter M  it  is possible to toke
       photogrophs with flosh bulbs ot the shutter speeds from 1/50 to
        1/300 second. By putting lever no.11 to the X position, photogrophs
       with electronic flosh ore possible up to 1/300 second, ond photo-
       grophs with lloshbulbs moy be token on the X setting uP to 1/25
       second. With deloyed oction ond the lever setting on the letter
     V o flosh photogroph is possible with electronic flosh up to 1/300
      ond lloshbulbs up to 1/25 second.
