  EXPTANATIONOFINDICATORSANDCONTROLS

                       AC Cord:
    Connectsto any grounded115volt,60 Hz powersource.

                         Power.r^-    G..'l*^|..Switch:
     Controlsboththe AC powerto the flashcircuitandto the modelinglamps.

                    ON Indicator:
-    Glowsredwhenthe switchis on andwhenthe poweris reachingthe flashcircuit.v
      NOTE- The circuitwillturnon only if a lampheadis connectedto the power
         supply.This is a safety interlockcircuit.

                       Ready Indicator:
    Glowsorangewhenthe circuitreaches100/ovoltagestabilizedoutput.

                          FUSE:
    3 amp,3AG,SLO-BLOtype.Thefuseis locatedinsidethe powersupplynextto the
    powertransformer.lf theON Indicatorgoesoffbutthemodelinglampinthelamphead
     remainson,thefuseis probablyblown.Fusesareavailableat mostelectronicsupply
     storesor directlyfromNormanEnterprises.

EXPTANATIONOFINDICATORSANDCONTROLS

                   SYNC Outlet:
Triggersthe flash.Plugyour camerasync extensioncord intothis outlet.Propersync
cordpolarityis importantwith most cameras(cameraswith groundedsync contacts).
To checkthe polarity,simplytouch any exposed(non-paintedand non-anodized)
metalon the camerabodyto any exposed(non-paintedand non-anodized)metalon
theflashunit.lf the unitflasheswhenthisis done,reversethe synccordto achievethe
correctpolarity.Thisestablishesa commongroundbetweenthe camerabodyandthe
flashunit.lf the polarityis incorrect,the unit couldself flashor flash intermittently.

                  Lamphead Connectors:
Connectsto the lampheads.Both connectorsare wiredtogether(in parallel)so that
the lightwillsplitevenlybetweentwo lampheads.lf one lampheadis used,it receives
125w-s. Two lampheadswill receive62 w-s each.

   CAUTION- Do notconnector disconnectlampheadswhenthe AC power
     is on. This can causearcingat the connectors.
