I Care and storage
l. Do not put the eamera at temperatures below -10'C (14'F), or over +50oC I (rzz"F).
2. Avoid high humidity, sudden temperature changes and strong magnetic fields.
3. Handle the camera carefully.
o Do not drop the camera to the hard surface.
o Do not disassemble the camera yourself and do not expose the camera to
. rain shower and water.
oDo not use thinner, benzine or organic solvents to clean the camera.
o Do not touch the metal contact.
oDo not touch the shutter blade.
4. Do not apply excessive pressure on the camera.
. Do not rotate the camera when it is mounted on a tripod.
5. Do not put the used battery into fire and do not disassemble it.
I Questions and Answers
Q: The camer& wontt operate.
A: O Open the barrier fully. @ Confirm that the autofocus lamp lights.
@ Check to see if there are batteries in the camera or not, and it is loaded
with plus (+) and minus (-) sides correctly.
Q: Pictures are unsharp.
A: In the following cases, the cameras autofoeus mechanism may not function
properly. Use the focus lock to take your picture.
O Shiny objects, @ Black objects, @ Pictures taken through a glass window
or wire fence, O Flame, smoke or something similar, @ the sun is included
in the picture frame.
Q: The flash does not fire.
A: O Make sure that the flash plug is inserted correctly into the camera socket.
@ Check to see if there are batteries in the flash or not, and it is loaded with
plus (+) and minus (-) sides correctly. If the flash charging lamp (red) is
lighting for more than 5 seconds with lithium batteries, normal temp. and for
l0 seconds with alkaline-manganese batteries, normal temp., change the
flash batteries.
@ If you take flash pictures in succession with weak batteries, the flash will
take longer time to recharge and it may sometimes fail to fire. Also, the
flash may not fire if you take pictures after the barrier is left open for a
Iong time. In this case, close the barrier once and open it again, then shoot.
Q: TVhen the back is opened, the film is wrapped around the take-up
spoo-l a4d cannot be removed. ^-+J
A: When the battery is too weak or the temperature is too low, there may some-
times be difficulty in removing the frlm from the take-up spool. Remove the
frlm cartridge and lift up the film protruding from it. Press down on the take-up
spool from above, move the film towards the direction of wind-up, and pull
the frlm out of the camera. (lf you do not see the spool because the film is
wound on it, press your hnger tip on the film that is wound and turn it.)
Q: The c&mera wontt operate in low temperature. How can I do?
A: Battery performance will be reduced temporarily in low temperatures. i
Take care to keep the camera warm when you take pictures. I
Q: I want to buy a lithium battery for the flash.

I Unloading the film
I' When the end of the nlm is reached, the camera will automatically start
rewinding the film.
2. Make sure you no longer hear the motor whir and the exposure counter has
returned to D then open the camera back. If you open the camera back, the
exposure counter will automatically return to p.
3. Tbke out the film.
*If the batteries are spent, the exposure counter may not return to as far as D.
In this case, do not open the camera back. Change the batteries with new ones
instead, and the film rewinding will restart.

I Attaching the strap
l. Pass the strap fastener through the camera's strap lug and pull up the strap
toward the arrow It will then hx securely with a snap.
2. Tb detach, push down the strap fastener and pull out the strap.
*Always disconnect the flash before attaching and detaching the strap. Make
