film surface.

‘graphy with the Pen FT. The working range of the
Pen FT with 80mm standard Leica is from approxim-
ately 36em to AScm; with the 135mm Leica tele
photo lens, the working range is trom about 103m
to 268m.

Warning

Collapsible Leica lenses, or Leica wide angle lenses
should not be used with the Pen FT. The rear flangt
of these lenses extend so far back into the camera
body that they may break the Pen FT micror.

“The distance between the mount on the FT body and
the film is 29mm. On the Leica, this distance is
2.8mm.

2) Correct exposure when using 35mm lenses of other
manufacturers with the Pen FT is obtained by using,
the "closed aperture” method.

lens aperture extremely, set the shutter dial or F/

At the same time, the CdS photosensitive cell also

receives the least light, which takes time to obtain

Tight enough for correct exposure.

4) The Image magnification and perspective with
these lenses arethe same as with the Pen FT lenses
of the same focal lengths. Since lenses are com-
uted and designed to cover specific film formats
fand sizes, however, the results obtained with full
frame 35mm lenses may be inferior to thos
when using Olympus lenses.
