 FOR FILMS AND PLATES

NEW ITEM

 1935 SCALE MODEL

                           • The only reflex camera, using roll film or plates,
that allows operation in both directions,
vertically and horizontally, by means of a rotating
back. Its reduced size is almost that of a square-
format camera, yet it allows for the production of

The ONTOFLEX is the device intended for the
hands of an "elite" who will certainly appreciate
all the advantages achieved in the manufacture
of a device of this kind. Thanks to its rational
design, it is perfectly suited to taking
photographs of all kinds, including those
                              intended for photojournalism.
To this end, two different aiming methods have
been provided: the normal Reflex aiming method
(see figure opposite) and the eye-level aiming
method, allowing operation in all situations.

DESCRIPTION. - Metal body, covered in black leather, finely varnished and nickel-plated. The
REFLEX's viewing chamber opens automatically and is equipped, at its upper part, with a
magnifying lens allowing for precise focusing. It also includes an iconometric viewfinder for
 eye-level aiming.

The most striking feature of
this device is its reversible back, designed
for using roll film and which, in order
to allow shooting in both directions, is
reversible, that is to say, it rotates.

The camera is fitted with a Compur
delayed-action shutter, providing speeds
from one second to 1/400th of a second,
and a two-stage exposure setting.

The synchronization of the focusing is
ensured by the fact that the two lenses are
mounted on a metal plate. The focusing
movement is achieved by a multi-threaded
helical ramp, driven by a precision gear
controlled by a knurled knob on which the
different focus settings are indicated, ranging
from 1 meter to infinity for a 90 mm focal
length lens, and from 1.5 meters to infinity
with 105 mm focal length lenses.

Film loading is as simple as in any other film camera. Tension and flatness are ensured by a
special film pressure plate. The back is equipped with a viewing window cover for use with
panchromatic film.

The camera comes with a neck strap and is equipped, on the back, with a depth-of-field scale
(for a 90 mm focal length). The film holder is removable and can be replaced, for the use of
photographic plates, with a special adapter.
