FEATURES

                    l.  The body is made of aluminium alloy die casting which has adequate rigidity combined with lightness

            2.  Lens interchangeability. The standard Luminant l05mm F: 3.5 lens is interchangeable with wide angle
               or telephoto lenses. Besides this standard lens, 5 other lenses of wide arigle or telephoto are provided.
            3. Extreme availability for many different negative sizes from 120 Rollfilm. D.y plate (2tlax3l/r//), Cut
             6lm (6X9) and Film Pack (520) are also available.
            4.  Easy exchange film (black-and-white to color, color to black-and-white).
            5.  Easy operation for copying, close-up work and micro-photography.
            6.  Mirror and shutter absorbing system.
               Equipped with unique mirror and shutter shock absorbing mechanism which can be adjusted according
                  to vertical or horizontal photograph. This systern perfectly deprives of any shock comes from mirror
              and shutter movement.

4) Thread the film end to the take up spool, through the film guide (E) and pin roller (J) as the sketch
     shows.
 5) Wind knob (D) and advance the film until start mark of film leader paper coincides to (J).  Shut the (A).
 6) Combine the Rollfilm Holder with camera body.
 7) According to the desired negative size, change the protective slide of Holder to each negative mask. (For
    6x7 cm use, no mask is used.)
 8)  IJse one of counter windows (F) according to desired negative size. (You may neglect the other two.)
 9) Wind the knob (D) until exposure number I appears and the red line of dial matches black line of
     desired counter window. Now, ready for taking picture. For the next exposure, wind the knob until
     the next number appears in the counter window and match red line in the same way.
l0)  After exposed all, wind up (D) until mark E appears in counter window. Then, open the backlid and
    remove the film.
       (Be careful to take up the exposed film which has strong reflex motion, as it is curled in opposite way.)

tB] TAKING THE PICTURE
   l.  Shulter winding knob
        l)  Wind the shutter winding knob (8-16) for 180" backwards until it stops and the red marking line
          coincides with the white dot.
     2) By winding the knob, the reflex mirror flips down at the same time, and the shutter is set"
     3)  If the winding knob does not move, it means that the shutter is already set but   . not released
         yet. Then release the shutter by pushing the release button (B-lB).
     4)  If you release the shutter incompletely, both of winding knob and release button does not become
        movable. Then wind the knob slightly until the red marking line of knob opposite white dot, while
         pushing the release button (B-lB).

2.  Lens shod e
   Cpen up the lens shade to horizontal position. Then the
   lens will  appear.
3.  Focu"iarg finder
   Your Optika camera is equipped with a folding type view
    finder hood which is used as a waist level finder.
   1) Unscrew and release the finder lock button (B-11).
    2)  Push the button, then the finder will open automatically.
   3) When close the finder, fold No. I hood panel at first and according to the picture fold No. 2,
       No. 3 and No. 4 panel.. At last, screw and tie the lock button (B-lI).
   4)  This viewfinder is exchangeable to an extra eye level finder. To take this finder off, open the all
       panels and slide it backward until it stops. Then lift  it up, the finder can be removed from the
       camera body.

Picture oreo in finder

         On the ground glass of finder, you can see the hairlines which show
                the several picture areas on film as follows   :
t             1) Internal hairline of both side is for 6 x 4.5 cm. Picture size.
$.             2) Middie (red) hairline of both side is for 6x6 cm. Picture size.
               3)  External hairline of both side is for 6 x7 cm. Picture size.
               4)  Full ar ea of ground glass is for 6 x 9 cm. picture size.
                   Please ascertain the exact picture area according to the film size.

Focusing
To focus the carnera, turn the focusing knob (A-5) forward or
backward" You will observe that the image becomes sharp or
unsharp as you do this. When image appears sharpest on the
ground glass, the camera is in focus. As this carrrera is single
lens reflex, the sharpest focus on the ground glass is exactly
same as actual focus on film, and free from any parallax"

Mognifier (B-12)
Raise this magnifier by pushing lock button. This is equipped
with focusing view fiinder (A-1), which enable you to get the
sharpest possible focus. The glass of magnifier is larger and
clear convex lens.

Sports  f inder (B*13)
This finder is for seeing the ob ject directly at eye level, which
is most effective for moving objects. Sports finder is usable
for farer objects than 6 meters. To use this sports finder,
open ( @ ) after raising the magnifier"

tC] SHUTTER DIAL SETTING

   l.  High speed diol setting

     l)  After cock the winding knob, lift the shutter dial (A-10) and turn the dial clockwise, Set the d,ial at
       the desired shutter speed by coinciding  it with the marking dot (A-0). Then the shutter will be set
       at desired speed.
   2)  If you feel any difficulty to set at ll2O0 or l/400 as the distance of them is very narrow, set the
        center of 1/100 and ll2OO against marking dot. Slightly pressing the dial, turn it slowly toward l/200.
      The shutter will be set at 11200. In casesetatl/400, set the centerofB and 11400 and turn the dial
       toward 11400 in the same method, then the dial is set at 11400.

2.  SIow speed diol setting

    1)  Set the high speed dial (A-10) at 1120.
   ?)  Turn the slow shutter dial (B-15) at desired speed and coincide it with
      the marking line withor-rt lifting it.  Then the slow shutter is ready.
   3)  When you use high speed dial again, be sure to reset the slow shutter dial
      at " 20". The high speed dial is ready to work.

3.  Time exposure
      l)  Set the high speed dial at " B ".
   2) Push the shutter release button (B-18).
   3) Pushing the release button, turn this release button clockwise. Now, time exposure is ready.
   4) To unset the time exposure, turn the release button once again to ordinary position,

    Fre-sel diophrogm   Your Optika camera is equipped with a Luminant 105 mm F  : 3.5 lens which has
   a most convenient pre-set diaphragm system.
                               1) Set the pre-set ring-,( @ ) at desired aperture  against the indicator
                           (@) before focusing.
                                 2\ Turn the actual diaphragm ring (@) to 3.5 to focus with the dia-
                                 phragm fully open.
                               3)  After accurate focusing turn the actual diaphragm ring ( @ ) which
                                          automatically stops at the pre-selected aperture setting.

tE] FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY
   The camera shutter takes over the task of firing the bulb electrically at the right moment. Your Optika
   camera has the highest electronic mechanism for this purpose and is equipped with following contacts
   which permit you to enjoy the flash photography with any ffash attachment.

     l)  F.B. Contoct
     This is applicable to F-class bulb and is made approximately 5 milliseconds, before the shutter blades
     are fully opend.. F-class bulb is comparatively low in its illumination power so it is most suitable to
      use in ordinary room at about 15 feet object. F-class bulb is synchronized with lower speed than 1/50
      shutter speed.

   2) X.  e o:ltoct
     This is used for an electronic or strobo flash unit with zero delay. T4.
      flash fires as soon as the shutter blades reach full opening. Since the
      duration of the flash itself is actually shorter than arry shutter setting, thus
    you rrray select alry shutter speed but it is advisable to use a speed under

ADJUSTORiFl sHocK ABSoRBING
   Your Optika camera is equipped with an unique mirror shock absorbing system which enable to take
   away at  ill  the shocks come from the reflex mirror, movement. When you take vertical photograph
   with 6X9cm or 6X7cm film size, adjust the shock absorbing knob (A-7)'

   1) Pull out the shock absorbinE knob. Set the external white dot at internal red dot.
   2) When taking horizontal photograph, set the external red dot at internal red dot.  If you do not
        so, the shutter does not work in the horizontal position.

    3)   If you release the shutter and take the horizontal photograph when the white dot is opposite to red
        dot, the mirror does not work. Then set red dot to opposite internal red dot and wind the winding
     knob (8-16) slowly until the red line of knob comes at marking dot, while pushing the shutter

         release button,

                                     1) To dismount the lens board from the carnera, slide up the
                                            upper board holder with center pinch (A-2) and take off the
                                                 lens lvith board.
                                                        2)  To mount the lens board, slide dor,r'n it after exactly affix
                                             the lens board to the camera bcdy.
                                                        3)  You tr^ay do it also by lorn'er board holder (A-14).
                                                        4)  Lens is screw-in rnounted on lens board. This lens board  is
                                              also used for Luminant 92 rnm F :4" 5 wide angle lens, and
                                             as for extention tube.
