Preventing Battery Problems
Follow the polarization directions when loading
batteries.
lf batteries are not correctly inserted they may
leak chemical solution, heat up or be punctured.
When you replace batteries, replace them with the
same brand and same type of fresh batteries.
Do not mix battery brands and types.
Take out all batteries when you do not plan to use
the motor drive for a prolonged period of time.
Old batteries tend to leak chemical solution and
damage the equipment.
Slide the battery clip into the battery pack shell

Remove the Grip Super A to attach the Motor. Drive A. When detaching the battery pack, press down on the lock-release lever while depressing the lock- release button, then slide the battery pack slightly to the alignment marks and lift it off . Wh€n attaching, align the marks on the Motor Drive A and the Battery Pack A; then slide the battery pack toward the lock position. After you release the shutter, the camera

i SHUTTER TRIGGER BUTTON
The shutter can be released Uy tfre motor drive's
trigger button, the battery pack's trigger button or
by the camera's release button. When you use the
battery pack's trigger button, turn the trigger lock-
release lever ON. This trigger button is particularly
useful when you operate the camera in a vertical
position.

The LED lights up when the Motor Drive A is
advancing f ilm.
When a roll of f ilm ends during f ilm advance
operation, the LED lights continuously. Turn the
shooting mode dial to OFF to switch off the power
sou rce.

Notes on Accessories
When the camera is equipped with the Digital
Data M, set the shooting mode dial to S or L. The
data may not be perfectly imprinted, if the motor
drive is set to H.
Notes on Loading Film
After putting a roll of film in the camera, set the
shooting mode dial to S and make a couple of
blank exposures.
Do not set the shooting mode dial to H or L until
you advance to the first frame. lf set to H or L
while loading film, the camera may halt in the
middle of operation or advance the film
unnecessarily.
When the camera stops with the Shooting Mode
Dial mis-set, turn the dial to OFF and re-set it to
the S position. The camera will return to normal
operation.

At the end of a roll of f ilm, the motor drive
automatically stops and the LED lights to indicate
the end of the film. Turn off the power switch by
turning the shooting mode dial to the OFF
position. The LED turns itself off.
To rewind the f ilm, push up the rewind lever of
the motor drive as indicated and rewind the film
with the camera's rewind crank, rotating it in the
direction shown by the arrow.

With the Power Cord A
Connect the Battery Pack A and the Motor Drive A
with the Power cord A. To insert the power cord
plug into the Battery Pack A, pry open the remote
control socket cover with a thin-edged object.
Operate the camera with the trigger button of the
Battery Pack A after turning the trigger-lock lever
to the ON position. The power cord's length is 3
meters or 10 feet.
Note that the camera can be operated by the
Motor Drive A's trigger button with the shooting
mode dial set at H, L or S even if the battery pack
is set to OFF with the trigger lock lever.
