How to extend and retract the lens
Before taking pictures the lens barrel must be extended completely by
simply pulling it out all the way. This will make the red warning signal
disappear from the viewfinder. Before closing the camera case the
lens must be retracted, which is done by pushing it home until it
clicks. No pictures can be taken with the lens retracted. The red
warning signal in the finder is visible.

In diesem Zustand
konnen keine Aufnahmen gemacht werden. Das rote Warnsignal
 erscheintwieder im Sucher.

How to open or replace the back cover
Lift the key of the back cover lock (16) on the bottom of the camera
and turn it counter clockwise to unlock. Grasp the camera back by
the sides and gently slide it off.
To replace it, fit the back onto the rails of the camera body and slide
it up until it fits tightly. lt is easierto do so by starting at the middle
portion of the body rather than at the bo.ttom.

Ldngeder Schienenbeginnt.

Inserting and checking the batteries
In order to operate the built-in exposure control system, one 1.3 V
Mallory battery (PX 655 or equivalent) has to be placed into the
battery compartment located in the inner baseof the camera body Q5l.
Unscrew the cover with a coin and put the battery in place with the
positive side (+) facing up. The meter will not operate if the battery
is inserted incorrectly.

wand abgenommen werden. Der Deckel (25) wird mit einer Mtinze
abgeschraubt.
