A classic SLR from the 1970s in an elegant black lacquered
housing from the consignor Foto Quelle. The camera was
manufactured by Chinon in Japan and, as usual with Foto Quelle,
sold under the Revue label. The original was sold under the name
Chinon CX . In keeping with the times, it is equipped with a
tracking measurement for the work panel, which is switched on
via the slide switch on the side of the mirror box. In contrast to
the Praktica cameras, this switch has to be clicked in, which
means that work is not that fast. A special feature that is often
found with Chinon cameras is the possibility of multiple exposure,
which is switched on by a small lever in front of the clamping
lever. The camera was also available in a simpler version than
RevueFlex 2000 CL . In the picture on the right you can see the
cover sheet of a reprinted instruction manual.
The camera came to the museum as complete camera equipment,
so you can see the composition of typical SLR equipment from the
1970s in the picture at the bottom left:
